Thread: HD broadcasts

any idea when tata sky is gonna have hd broadcasts...and which dth providers gonna be the 1st one to introduce hd broadcasts...i believe its gonna be reliance(big tv).

HD broadcast is not going to happen very soon. It may happen a year or two later. It will also mean upgrading of infrastructure for service providers as well as consumers.

Also HD channels will be packaged separately and higher than current packages. Already people are crying over the costs - so only the rich (with HD Tvs) will opt for such packages. I am not sure that there is a big market as yet.
