Hi

As i said in some of my previous posts that i m done with this local cablewalla who is providing Cable and Internet at my home and my mom want sky tv so here i would love to see your suggestions on same topic can you please suggest me if Tata Sky is better than Dish Tv or not.. and which one should i go for now..

i have already done research on both and somewhere i can see that both are equal in price and channels, which make me more confused

so please suggest which one is better...

and there is one more in line which is Big Tv... i really dont like this name.. Big Tv... this sounds like a big banana... as i was trying to check installation charges and stuff but there is nothing on BIG TV

I am good and everything is fine. I was not on line yesterday.

The reason why I like Dish TV is that they have not reclassified packages like TataSky (well, as yet anyway).

i dont know whats wrong with me... i just want to go for Tata Sky... i think its coz of brand name...

You should not go for brand name. You should go for who is the best.

In terms of signal quality, TataSky has a slight edge. Their STB interface is also much-much better.

DishTV has better package and plus they offer STB free with the Rs. 3990/- yearly subscription. They have more movies and music channels. In terms of Value for Money, DishTV is ahead.

As far as CC is concerned both are in the same boat.

Why don't you proceed as follows:

a) Make a list of most wanted channels - those which you would like to watch, those your mom and others in the family would want, etc.
b) The above list will more or less decide your package
c) If you like more movies and music, DishTV has better offer in the Maxi package
d) If you are not interested in sports (and cricket) TataSky has removed it and put it as an add-on package so you are not unnecessarily burdened.
e) I have found DishTV web site and payment/renewals by Credit Card extremely comfortable. Maybe TataSky is the same also.

I feel that at this moment DishTV has a definite edge in terms of pricing. The only discount offer that I have heard from TataSky is that if a friend refers you (gives you referal codes), then you get one month free viewing while your friend gets 2 months free. Afterwards you can also refer friends and avail the free viewing offer. I do not know whether add-on packages are included in the free viewing offer.

Finally, on a 29" or a smaller TV, video quality difference will not be that evident.

you have to wait as lot of big companies are entering in dth market. At present tata sky,dish tv and sun dth are there. The poll should include sun dth also

i understand that it should include sun dth also but here we are just trying to compare 2 providers.. and thats the only reason i provided 2 options in poll without even that any other option

Tata Sky is best because of its service.

I dont think dish tv has a good costemer service. And that too its very slow than TS

Tata Sky vs Dish Tv is like Airtel vs BSNL.

The former(s) have slightly better service and quality but the later(s) have more value for money plans.

and i think one should always go for better and stable service... if you get a good service then paying a little higher amount never pinch...

As I am subscriber to tata sky dth the quality is good .Regarding tariff you should compare with other dths. The big tv dth has been launched.

Tata Sky is much better than Dish TV, whether its the channels available or the features Tata Sky is the best to get, well worth the money spent on it.

yes i already had a word with Tata sky cust care and they are saying they can install it and activate it in 3-4 days... and after that they are offering me 3 moths free rechage...
