Default Advanced settings on Wimax antenna (Telsima/Starmax)

I have a strange problem here.

I logged into the Telsima bs with root credentials. Even though i have an RSSI of -64 and CINR of 16 to 22, the Wimax IP/Subnet shows 0.0.0.0.

I am able to connect to BS1 and BS3, and all the bars in the Antenna status page shows green bars, am still not getting a wimax IP and for this reason, am not able to access internet. i telnet to the Antenna and tried 'show bs', and found that BS1 has QAM16 and BS3 has a qpsk.

anyone to shed lights on this issue ???

Thnx,
Anup

Does it say connected on the wimax option?
If it keeps on saying disconnected for too long you need to call customer care as thats something on their end and you cant do anything about it. I had the same problem and it took them 11 days to sort it out.

Give them a call and let them sort it out for you... make sure you keep a note of the complaint number for getting compensated for the number of days your connection is down.

Thnx for ur quick reply, Admin.

Yeah, it used to say connected everytime, but wimax IP/SUB/Def.G/W all would be 0.0.0.0

To my luck, i just reset the antenna to Factory defaults, re-entered the BS details Frequency/baud... , and got connected to BS1. i was really happy to see that the Wimax got an IP.

However, i see that the connection is stil slow, am only getting 10-12 KBps download on my 384Kbps connection. (CINR:21, RSSI:-63)

Will keep you posted as soon as I have an update.

Thnx & Rgds.. Anup
