Thread: poor bandwidth in wimax

i have a tata indicom wimax 256kbps connection. they assured me the connection will be true 256kbps but now i am getting hardly 30-32kbps

if you are talking about 30-32kbps transfer rater then you are getting the correct speed
coz you need to understand the difference between bits and bytes
8 bits = 1 Byte
1024 = 1 Mega Byte

which makes 256kbps/8 = 32kBps

can you please post your speedtest results here
for speed test you can go to speedtest.net

Biswajit, can i know the NIC u r using. I have some good tips to share with u to increase ur bandwidth but u shall have to give me the name of ur NIC first.:2guns:

You are getting the promised speed... what else are you looking to get... they dont supply milk using the internet connection... they would if there was such a technology.
