Thread: tata indicom wimax webdialer ***** big time

hi guys!
I've a 384kbps UL tata wimax prepaid connection. everything is working fine except for the login part. every time the powers down, after restarting the system one needs to re-login, but i can't be near my comp for ever. this is seriously affecting my download schedule. is there a solution for this(other than the static ip one) ? i have a DIR 300 wireless router(dlink one). any help is much appreciated

Did u try configuring the connection to login from the router? I am afraid it is not possible with tata wimax (or any other wimax service). Have u contacted the CC?

i'm afraid i haven't spoke to the CC

if you will speak to CC then also they will not help you in this case, this funny login page would be removed very soon, i had a word with tata care few days back when my connection was not working due to problem with my wimax box, while getting the problem fixed i spoke to tata wimax engineer about this and he was telling me that they are working on it and will come up with a better login solution very soon.
Now i am not sure what is the meaning of very soon, one month, one year or may be more than that

It is not a problem at all

it's just a web dialer which connects you otherwise service is good, no downtime at all and if your connection is down then tata will take all pains to fix it in due time.

What kind of login you are talking about?
Could you plz post a screenshot of the login screen.
I dont have access to any wimax system but might help if understand it.

Try opting for a Static IP connection... In that CC says that they can remove the Login page, which would mean that everytime your power fails or disconnections occur, there will (should) be an automatic login, which would then re-start the downloads... i also hv the same connection and router as yours and i face a similar problem, but i don't wanna pay more (especially in these recessionary times), hence i am sticking to the dynamic IP.. See if this helps and whether the login happens automatically..

Tata Indicom is one of the worst service provider.... Get rid of this ASAP

I have been using tata Wimax 512 UL (post paid) from 7 months now. Yesterday I called up tata helpdesk and requested to remove the login page for me. 15 minutes! yes thats all.. 15 minutes it took for them to provide me static ip, free of cost and bypass the login page. Browsing is breeze and there is no login page now!!!!

What ever been said and done, Tata has listen what I had to say and done what I wanted. Try it out guys. Let me know what happens.

If your using tata wimax , i ve written my own autologin application . check the attachment out.

its a simple app that keeps u login forever. as long as tata servers aren't down or ur lan connection dosnt need to be repaired. everything is simple and clear. just go to setting window and save ur username and pass and domain .

working greate on XP, on vista in order to get it to work, after installing go to the app folder, right click on tataAutoLoginApp.exe file , properties, in compatibilty tab choose "run as administrator" checkbox.
