Thread: Migrating from DSL to WiMax need urs kind advice :-)

Hi friends,

iam migrating from tata DSL to Wimax due to too much link problems i need to know some things from who have used TATA WIMAX already.

1.I need dynamic ip will i get it (currently i do get dynamic ip)

2.which router i"ll get ?

3.Is the signals are good for wireless connection.I live at North delhi

4.Is it this wimax connection is portable? iam moving to Bangalore next month for studies...and i cant carry their router so i need to purchase it their...but if their is any MAC-ADRESS binding is there i cant use it there... due to different router :-(

and please share yours experience with wimax technolgy... :-)

1. yes you will get dynamic ip

2. Telisma (with life time replacement warranty)

3. It depends and tata guys need to check it from your premisis, can not say anything about it.

4. Its a fixed connection so you can not carry it to banglore just like that, for banglore you need to place house mover order with them so that they can provide you new connection there.

But they havnot gave me any router just an dish-antina on my roof and from there an wire is connected to my house....did u get any wireless router ?

i think u havent used tata wimax there is dish is fitted on urs rooftop which they call SS there is no router here at all..........that thing really an sick..thing
