Rep Power: 0 | hi, I am Noble Jose, from Bangalore. I am on TATA WiMax 384kbps infinity, What will be the ideal download speed? I hv checked with so many speed tests, but all of them giving different results, somewhere around 160kbps. And for a single file download from download.com or any other major site, is 20-22 KBps, technically I should get 46-48KB/sec on a 384kbps plan right? Should I raise a complaint to TATA about the speed? I hv checked my signal strength, and it is constant on 24-25, which is i think good enough to get a decent speed. The nearest tower is just about 30 meters from my house, no obstructions in between, should i expect better signal strength? Overall I am happy abt TATA service, because i got connection in 2 days! and no disconnect till now. I need to figure out the speed promised is correct or not. Thanks for your time |

| Junior Member | Yes i do have tata wimax and i am using this service since 29 Jan 09. i had logged a complaint after next installation date 10 tiimes and nothing happend they tried to call and promised and one day they replied that you should get 22-25kb/sec speed. and Now i am waiting to complete my 4 months advance rental to disconnect this service. i think reliance is more superior than TATA in Service. |

Rep Power: 1 | Tata Indicom is one of the worst service provider.... Get rid of this ASAP I am going to get Airtel ASAP so that i won't require to dial TATA CC for problems. And they will say we will come back to soon... But they won't |

Rep Power: 1 | Dear Noblejose, Ideal speed for your plan should be 48 KB per sec. However, any speed above 40 KBps should be considered acceptable. Visit this site, speedtest (Google it) take a speed test and post your results. It is very much possible to optimize your bandwidth, let me know! |
