    Default Tata wimax Port Forwarding

I got a new Tata connection..while downloading a torrent the port is not forwarded..theres a yellow symbol instead of a "green one with a tick"
I am using a dlink router dir +300
how do i get it to work proprly.
I wasnt having this problem with my earliar isp provider.
Also in the dlink router to configure port forwarding i need to give a Ip address
but i am on dynamic IP plan.
    Any ideas...???

In a dynamic IP plan, only WAN IP keeps changing. Internal IP or LAN IP should be static. The procedure is explained in the links above.

If you are using a connection which you can connect by simply switching On the modem, you need to port forward. If not, it is not necessary.

I have a tata indicom wimax connection and I havent done any portfarwarding or anything and torrents work just fine. Tata indicom wimax connections dont have any ports blocked at ISP end.

In utorrent, Ctrl + P > Connection > Enable UPnP port mapping >

Check / Uncheck. Try trial and error.

Also click on the red, organge error icon, select the speed and port, check the port is open or not and click " Use selected "

Repeat this, it may change to Green (It works for me).

i am getting speeds between 42-48(384 kbps connection) but it often drops to 32-36..
    Red light is still there
uninstalled and installed u torrent and bit torrent...with default settings
    still d red light
connected the tata ppoe directly i got the green light after a while... it was constant..so i thot it was a problem with the router.
reset the router and checked for any firewall..there was none
did the port forwading for both the tcp ip nd udp connection
    still the red light..
same router worked nd gave a green light with an airtel/reliance connections.
So my main problem is am getting the required speed but its dropping to great extents because of the "red light" probably
    windows firewall is off
    am stuck...

Tried everything Port Forwarding port trigerring, assigning static ip to router then connecting, changin all sorts of settings in utorrent.NOthing seems to be working.HAS ANY 1 FACED SIMMILAR PROBLEMS WITH TATA WIMAX..

There HAS to be something i am missing
p.s. this was a frustrated post guys..been working on this d entire saturday and stil cant seem to get it fixed!!!

Some torrents give a low speed. Try a knoppix live CD torrent and update your speed. Hope you tried the method mentioned in the last post.

yes i tried the above mentioned post too...the problem is not low speeds the problem is dat red dot which comes only when i connect my router and lowers my speed like anything..

A firewall / router i limiting ur networkk traffic.....

    NEXT POST::

okay finally after all this for the second time in the day i connected the ppoe directly to the computer..
and i am not getting the "GREEN LIGHT" still during any of my downloads...
so i guess there was no point configuring the router watsoever because the ports have been blocked by Tata isp itself i guess...
but the customer care people are saying that they dont block any ports...
    back to square 1
WHERE IS THE PROBLEM?? WHY THE RED LIGHT??
WHY AM I NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE TORRENTZ AT A CONSTANT SPEED??
