i have a tata indicom wimax connection too and i use utorrent for my downloads my torrents speed vary from 38-45kB/s( I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY)

whereas when i had airtel before that i used to get speeds between 42-48

i configured the settings of my utorrent too..seeds are okay..so are the trackers..but still the seeds vary from 38-45kB/S

ill download bitlord as u say u get those speeds with it..

it would be very helpful if u could post the prefrence settings of bit lord as well

I got those results in Tata Indicom Broadband. Not on Wimax. So, the speeds may differ a bit. I am not sure about it.

See, as far as torrent client settings are concerned, it wont really make a noticable change. Many other factors decide the download/upload speed of torrents. Read these carefully:

It is not always the fault of your ISP. Torrent speeds depend on many factors. Are you getting full speed mentioned for HTTP downloads?

The internet is all about publishing, sharing, openness, transparency, etc. I am sure it must feel great to be part of a super-secret society but the society whose emblem is published below felt something similar...

not really, the torrent community is closed because it needs to be protected from anti p2p groups and the government. even more so after the conviction and sell out of TPB.

Believe me the so called "close communities" are very friendly and welcoming if you obey their set of simple rules. and those rules are beneficial for both the user and the community in the long run. It protects both set of interests.

BSNL ul1350 to be exact.

That is my argument to ookla: you don't need a super duper fast connection to do all this.

do u usually download continously or you keep timing like 1: 5 for download:upload ??

It actually not chemicals its also alcohol only,

The alcohol we booze is Ethyle alcohol which is costlier to purify

The desi daru or so called bad alcohol is Methyle alcohol, One ltr of Methyle alcohol can be used to make (after dilution) 300-400 ltrs.where as ethyle alcohol can be made only 100 ltrs so to get more profit they will do this.

actually all i wanted to know is the torrent download speed the people who r using TATA WIMAX connection get,for connections of 384 kbps and 512 kbps.......
generally with the wired connections its 44-48kB/s
how much are the people getting with the wimax connection.
i am getting torrent speeds varying 38-45kB/s
but other download speeds vary from 45-52kB/s(max)

Sounds about right to me. If you get torrent speeds (on public trackers) that are 80-90% of your bandwidth, it is fine.

Note: No ISP promises full speed on the internet. The promised speed is within their network only.

what do u mean by "within their network" i ask coz i am really close to their tower.also tell me wat torrrent speed should i expect in 512 kbps wimax conection??planning to upgrade??

Within their network, mean within the intranet of the ISP. When you login to the ISP, you are logged in to their BRAS. Their router gives you dynamic (or static) IP. So "within the network" means, from your computer to the BRAS/DNS/Login Server of the ISP.

so according to u showing ur torrents speed to other gives message?,i think u r the only one who gets messages automatically like "you don't need a super duper fast connection to do all this"(after seeing my SCR shots), and after that out of nowhere u bragged ur so called "secret" torrent community in this topic, did i said accessing something on world wide web needs an exceptionally good ISP?


its like that if u see somebody on Ferrari in ur santro and u covered same distance as Ferrari by taking 3X more time in ur santro and in the end saying to Ferrari owner that u don't need a Ferrari to cover that same distance my santro can cover that same distance too.
