Thread: Tata indicom cheated us. Please give some idea what to do next?

Hi Every broadband Users,

My self with friends are staying in 2 adjacent rooms in RT nagar, bangalore. We have 2 tata broadband connections, one is prepaid, one more is post paid. That towers are fixed in the terrace. Last Aug 21st night while we came from office. our both towers (SS) where not there. we thought some thief has taken that. So we have compliant in RT nagar police station. And there brigade road tataindicom main office also. they said they will be tracing this both SS's once they found they will give like that they told. we were calling daily or day or two. after 2 days they told one ss (post paid) was found. Sorry for the our guys only taken with out informing you. We said OK. they fixed that in our room. next one they have not able to find out. they are asking us to pay RS 7000/-. we asked to check that guy who has taken our post paid SS. they are telling that he is in leave. what to do? for our prepaid connection we have recharged till november-2009. where we needs to pay or can we go to consumer court. Please give your suggestions.

That SS other than tataindicom broadband no one can use it right?

Go to consumer forum right now!!!!!!!! such cos. and such agents will be jailed.. lol...

Taking this up with the consumer forum will be an appropriate thing to do. Since this is rather a case of theft, and clearly that they had not informed you when they took the units from the terrace its completely their fault.

Just approach a consumer court as soon as possible as this is a case of theft and not "just" bad service. So any more delay might result in the tata fellows fining you for loss of their equipment. And pray, May I ask why the 7000 is being asked for and WHY they took the units from the terrace in the first place ?

Also you might want to lodge a case against tata for unauthorised access (trespassing) of your residential place and taking out equipment without any notification or prior agreement. They don't probably have ANY receipt / log which you signed that its okay for your equipment to be taken at their whim.

Just do the needful as soon as possible !

they saying that one SS only we found. One more is not taken by us. I asked they customer care also. can i speak to your higher manager. they said, managers also will say same result. I told them we will come to your office this saturday to discuss about it.

no discussions.. only case now!!!

Hai,you can mail to their customer care team at customer.care@tatatel.co.in or call at 040-66570232 (10 am to 6 pm from Monday to Saturday) to get the issue resolved.Trust you will get prompt and immediate reslution.

Mukhtar Bhai, whats your perception of these guys who stole his thing from his house when he was out???

these people are looters, and must be dealt with law,,..

most of times, it is difficult for us to prove our case. TI and such operators would have suitable mechanisms put in place to save themselves.

Now in India consumer courts are too efficient (well sorry for being sarcastic) and it is even more painful than dealing with TI guys. Let me know if something works out for you.

In this case first you can inform your local police station about the incidence and can add in your complaint that they can not take away base station from your terrace without your information because till the time you are subscriber it belongs to you and should be treated as your property (leased).

Call Tata Customer Care and speak to higher manager/visit Tata Store to voice your issue once and simply tell them that you are not paying 7000 for the other base station as Tata Agent took it away from your property without informing you.

If there is no help then you can knock door of consumer court for this issue and can claim the complete amount with resolution and compensation.

I hate TATA :52: a selfish company just think of their profits dont care for anything else.

First of all lodge a complaint with your police station regarding the same then go to Tata Store to escalate your issues to higher authorities, if things dont work out go to customer court with all the details have all the records else no one can help.
