It requires no additional setup for Tata Wimax. I am using Tata Wimax via Belkin Wifi with desktop and laptop. | |

| Junior Member | I also took the same plan one week ago and surfed a lot for finding the best wireless router. my search boilded donw to following two Linksys WRT54G2 (Rs 2500) NetGear WGR614v9 (Rs 1600) but after reading reviewes of both I took Linksys, went to S.P. road and got it in 2444 Rs its working fine as of now and was easy to setup |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi, You decision can be based on a few parameter: - Budget - Starts from INR1600+tax onwards.. - Distance - with booster can go upto 80mtrs - Frequency - Do you use 802.11 'b' or 'g' or the latest 'n' - Extra features - comes with built-in storage or USB port for printer or LCD display etc... --- Regards |

Rep Power: 0 | Hey Guys, our building has Wimax, but that's then routed through some Switch and all that arrives at my appartment is an ethernet cable. Then I have to log in using PPPoE on my computer. However, I want to use a Wifi router, obviously - and currently have a Linksys. Problem: The Wifi router does not log in over PPPoE through the ETHERNET port. It can only dial in over the WAN (Line/DSL) port - which is not applicable here, since they just give me a LAN cable. Anyone knows which Router (wifi or with wires, I don't care) works well in this case? |
