Hi,

I am also facing frequent disconnection issues with my Tata WiMax (infinity 384 kbps). I have Linksys WRT54G2 wireless router.

But one special thing I noticed is -> Before taking the router I used the connection using the network cable directly (inserted into my laptop) and for 2 days there was no disconnection at all.

As soon as I started using the wireless router I am getting frequent disconnect problem. But the strange thing is that after the disconnect it does not take me to the TataIndicom default login page (where it takes you for the first time for starting a session). and it connects automatically.

So I think these disconnects are not from Indicom's end, They are happening due to my wireless router, perhaps my router is not able to send signals to my laptop but is able to maintain the session with indicom server.

I will try using the Internet through network cable today and check if the disconnects are gone.

Meanwhile I just wanted to know if somebody else has seen such problem with same or other router's. I asked my neighbors who also have the same configuration. he told that he used to get frequent disconnect when he had dynamic IP. after switching to static IP connection is stable now.
