I am on 750 flash and I am sure I must have crossed 45gb limit a number of times as I download website backups almost every day but I have never recieved any e-mail or reduction in speed.

    Hi,

if customers cross the fair usage policy then onwards the excess usage will be charged as per the tariff.

    Thank You.

As per what tariff? I have the flash 750 plan and it is supposed to be unlimited usage... what charges would it be if I crossed 45GB?

FUP is applicable on BB plans that are rated above 256 kbps or, to put it the other way, FUP does not apply on 256 kbps plans.

Also, under FUP, there are no extra charges. The speed is reduced to half for every successive limit cross (say 25 GB, 50 GB or as set by the ISP) till the speed is reduced to 256 kbps. After that, the speed is not reduced any more. This is because as per TRAI rules, any internet service to classify as broadband, it must provide a minimum speed of 256 kbps.
