Default How does one configure an ADSL modem cum router for use with a TATA Wimax connection

    Hi,

I am wondering how does one configure an ADSL router cum modem with a Wimax connection with a static IP address?

The model is Linksys WAG 120N. It has one DSL port and 4 ethernet ports.

The TATA wimax connection gives me one Ethernet connection from the POE.

I want to use the router as a wifi DHCP server for my laptop and also for a cabled connection to my desktop.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

We have a tata wimax and a d-link router, we had a very tough time getting multiple laptops connect through the router..........well the first thing I want to tell you is IT WORKS...have patience.

and it is very simple you wouldn't believe--> just set dynamic DHCP..save & restart dlink/wimax box....and wait for 3-4 minutes(this is some tata wimax issue)....config the wireless to WEP...thats it

hi essbebe, seems correct to me, make sure if the cable from innomedia lan2 port connects to input port of modem. additionally TATA wimax uses http login instead of conventional pppoe, you need to check out if reliance uses pppoe or http. under both cases after configuring and restarting devices give 2-3 minutes for configuration to take effect.
