Default WiMax connection cannot browse IE

Hi,

I just got my postpaid wimax connection and when I connect to my laptop I'm unable to connect to internet. Installation guy could connect to internet from his laptop. I'm unable to understand how can this happen as I can connect through airtel broadband also. The reason Tata indicom is providing is some office laptops cannot be connected. I dont understand. Can anyone help me with the situation.

thanks
Amit

use IE 7.0

i dont Recommend Reliance WiMax connection.

its flop in Pune and it will be flop in mumbai... becoz of there firewal setting.

they have good speed but tons of gaming portals are blocked.

NEVER GO FOR RELIANCE WiMax

Thanx

amit,
when connection is working in some other lp & not in urs shows that there are some settings bcoz of which u r not able 2 connect. Must b firewall related issue or ur AV preventing it. Try to disable ur AV & than chk.

Default Tataindicom Wimax not working in laptop

HI All ,

I am using Tata indicom wimax in my home . I hv postpaid connection . I hv configured Satic ip address in my Laptop(Lenovo T61 ). 1 Gigabit Lan card. But when i tried to open IE or mozilla its tries for tataindicom login page and goes fails . Also i hv noticed receving packets in in LAN is very very low. I hv unistalled firewall /AV eveything . Still i m facing the same problem . I checked the connectivity status in Telsima login page , connectivity is good .

But when ever i connected the same connection in my desktop , its working fine ( LAN card 100 m) . I have checked my laptop with Airtel broadband , its working fine .. ...Any suggesstion guys...Waiting for positive reply ..

Thanks

Mridul

ok if removing firewall is not helping you in that case you can try to reset winsock here...
to reset winsock you just need to go to command prompt and then type in
netsh winsock reset catalog
after this press enter, it will ask you to restart your system...

restart computer and then check if it helps or not...

aadi...
