Thread: Tata wimax broadband connection review

of 15 days, has worked only 2 days
i know 11 sales guys and 4 managers
its still down

i got nat enabled and called my comp guy to get it for multiple users
next day wasnt working, tata said they removed my nat, dont know why
i re called my comp guy and he configured it again

today, it stopped working again. they did something at back end and it worked but now wont work with multiple users again. i have to call my comp guy again


im ready to take them to consumer court if anyone is interested

1) How are you sharing the connection wired or Wifi
2) is your connection always on ie: login page removed
3) how are you assigning the IP's to the client machines dynamic or static
4) What are the DNS addresses you are using.

Using a standard netgear Wifi router

the login has been removed (though it took me two days to convince the call center staff that this could be done the jackas5es)

3) how are you assigning the IP's to the client machines dynamic or static
I have the static IP fed in to the router. I then use local settings on each machine to connect to the router

4) What are the DNS addresses you are using.
20 2.5 4. 15.3 0 and 20 2. 5 4.29. 5
(without spaces)

Anyway, last night i left it hard wired to my XP latop and it worked throughout the night
i then connected to wifi router and it worked for a while then dropped
i connected using wire again and it wasnt working
i reset the pppoe box, nothing
after a while it started working
i used the router again and it wasnt working

i have no idea what these guys are up to but im thinking of removing the connecting, its a piece of sh!t

hold on whats your ipaddress of the Router and tata gateway address , i faced the same issue , change it if they are same. it will work.

The best thing I can suggest is send an e-mail to customer care one to nodal officer and one to appelette authority and keep sending new e-mails twice a day untill they sort out the issue.

Going to consumer court is not a group sort of thing you can go to the consumer court on your own and it just takes Rs100 in total.

On Monday Tata people will install wimax at my place. (I should read your post early) ... now kindly tell me DOs and DONTs

CINR Value was below 15 hence I am not able to get Tata Wimax ... lets try Reliance Wimax now.

I think The Customer Care has improved a Bit .. May be the service enginners are not tht Good at there Work..

I have the same WI MAX connection .. Its a Static IP line . N The speed IS 750Kbps.
So i wanted to know Wht Should be my download Speed ... 100kbps .or more .

The problem Lies with the Download Speed ..

I have red many reviews of TATA Indicom Wimax Connection, but as for as my connection its working really good, you may not believe that I didn't get problem of any sort in last 6 months.

I'm in bangalore, and its working fine.. regarding speed.. I ususally get 350kbps average..
I have 384kbps connection.. in night I have got 400-450kbps.

only prob happens sometimes rarely is "session close problem" if we properly didn't close session (sign out).. sometime it may not connect..
just make a call and customer care here in bangalore is good and they will clear my session and it will be ready by 5 min.
(I have got this problem 3 times.. by my mistake) (not closing session properly..)

I would rate TATA Wimax Connection in Bangalore 4 in a scale of 5

Previously I had reliance wimax for 2-3 days.. 512kbps.. but it didn't worked.. not even 56kbps.. so I tried tata...

What should be the minimum CINR value for tata wimax. I am planning to take up a connection.

for me...tata wimax is pretty satisfactory ..i have 384 plan and i am happy wid the speed..but the main problem wid tata wimax is its uploading speed..

Two days ago a Tata agent come to my company and offer me the Tata wimax plan i am using Airtel Broadband for connection with no complaints but as tata wimax is wireless i am planning to switch to tata wimax because in my area the road construction is started and all the cables of Airtel Bsnl and Reliance are being get damaged every day Airtel also get disconnected every day but i am confuse to switch or to not. Does any one suggest me to switch to tata wimax or not i never using wimax broadband this is first time in my area.
