    my experience very bad with Tikona. they connect my new connection on 31 July, 2010 and till know its giving me only 12 to 19 kbps and always RTO, Disconnect & Packet Loss Problem. i am 3 times Mail to Nodal Officer(veer garg & Nagesh. they don't want to work on my Problem. today is 29 August still they are not solve my problem.

    My Plan is Full599 - 512 kbps(New Delhi (west Delhi)).

    .tikona Company like a Kabariwalay ..



    warring for who want new Connection for Tikona Fusu Network...


    Malgharis are one of the fastest trains & with the highest priority. We can't compare tikona with that at least . . .lol.

    & Kabariwalay??? don't you think you are hurting kabariwalay's emotions ??

    Tikona s*cks everywhere.

    I am paying for a 2 Mbps plan . .never seen anything beyond 700 kbps.

    Why dont they have a "donate" button on their website & start begging if they can't keep it up????

    I used Tikona when they first rolled out services in Hyderabad exactly a year ago

    I applied for FUL599 UL which was then 2Mbps for first 2GB of usage and 300kbps later on.

    After two days of paying installation charges 500 and 1 month advance of 600+taxes, i got the connection. Did speed test and found the speed to be satisfactory.

    A few weeks later every night after 10:30pm i started getting 2-8Mbps download speed on utorrent (using free trackers). The speed lasts only till 8am next morning though

    That continued for few months, after that one fine night that magic dint happen and speed was raised to 512kbps on same plan. Nevertheless its still a gud bet.

    New problems started to surface.. like disconnections after 2am or after every few hrs at dawn. Even after multiple complaints, tikona customer care couldnt clear that problem. Yet another problem was their online payment gateway which dint work at that time and my account login was blocked for non payment of bill. Their agent never showed up and even if he appeared miraculously once to get 2 months dues, he paid that amount using DD which took 10 days to clear so i had no internet all those days.

    Fed up with their nonsense i decided to change my ISP so i called up customer care and requested for termination. Nobody came to claim the modem. I called them again and again but no use. I have shifted to another place in the city but i still get overdue bills from Tikona. They never even tried to call me asking for due amount, such is their service.

    PS: I still have their modem with me (Ruckus Wireless)

    Default Legal Action against Tikona

    Hi Friends,

    I am from Bangalore , In mycase the Tikona againt "Mr. Altaf" and Mathene collected Advance money with deposit and my ID proof before technical feasibility was done . Then they installed the coonection the same evening , from that day 15th November 2010 till today I just got 4 days of Internet @ 512 Kbps speed that too with frequent dosconnection . Then a technical team came to my premise and said there is no feasibility for my place as the signal strenght is just 20% . Then I asked for cancellation , but even now I am getting bills !!!!.
    I am planning to take legal action against them for which I ll be needing all the people who have faced inconvinience to reply to my post . I will get in touch with you for further actions.

    I have already moved to BSNL where I am getting excellent service.

    Though I am from Delhi but I am planning to move either Pune or Mumbai within two months...So I felt that it is necessary to share my experience with Tikona...Let me add a thing here...that if we have various other options available for internet connection than why should we go for Tikona? Tikona is not able to manage properly whatever they are offering to their customers...They cannot invest money to improve customer service and good signals because after all it is not a big company and they are still at the initial stages...Therefore we cannot expect good services from them...

    Tikona is not doing well in Delhi also...Let me share my experience....I purchased this connection in December 2010....Two executive came to my house and they started the connection at that time....The modem of my problems was switched on as soon as they started their modem in my house....I was continuously getting "LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" message and it stopped working...Now here is a point to discuss...The executives who started their connection in my home gave me their mobile number and they said that whenever I face any type of issue I can call them directly and they will solve it...I do not have any complaint with those executives..Both are nice..however it is the total system of Tikona which is very bad...Those executives came to my place every time when I called them...However they clearly said that some of the issues cannot be resolved till the total system of Tikona does not improve....

    I was fed up by calling those executives everytime....So this time I decided to do a little different thing.... I called up their so-called horrible customer care(which is actually not a care) and informed that I am frequently getting "LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" message... They gave me a request no....They told to me that executive will come to my place and the issue will be resolved....I waited for two days for those executives to come to my place and solve the issue...However they never came to my place...

    After two days I called their customer care and gave the same request no. to know the status of my complaint...and I was surprised to know that they had the information that executive came to my place and issue was solved....which actually never happened...No executive came to my place and nothing was done...THIS TYPE INCIDENT HAPPENED THREE TIMES CONTINUOUSLY AND NOT JUST ONE TIME...
    Everytime they gave me a request no. that executive will come to my place and issue will be resolved and everytime it happened that nobody came to my place to solve the issue still they have the information that executive came to my place and issue was resolved...

    I asked that why you have the information that executive came to my place as nobody came to solve this issue..So I got the information from their customer care that it is the only information they have at present...

    So this type of customer care service they have....Now the option is now yours...YOU WILL GET GOOD SPEED ON THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR CONNECTION...BUT YOU WILL START FEELING THE HEAT FROM DAY 2 OR 3.

    the download speed is always consistent till now. there were no problems. it all depends on your router and antenna placement. If its kept in correct position, it will always give you consistent speeds. I get 1 Mbps all the time 24*7. I am on 1 Mbps Unlimited plan. And i download tons of movies. I did not have any problem till now. My upload speeds vary a bit. But my download speeds are always at 1 Mbps +

    First thing they are not Braodband service, I had 512 Kbps plan and it was like 64 Kbps.

    Tenth they don't have fair practices, they given me some-one else UserID and Password when my connection was down.
    Eleventh, never ever trust on the sales guy commitments, they sold me a connection even when my area was not under full coverage and above it their Nodal(senior management) they also tried to hide mistake of their staff.

    So if anyone had never enjoyed a worst service with ugliest support then choose Tikona

    Hi Friends,

    Don't go for tikona. The service is very bad. I purchaged a plan for 2mbbs spped and it never crossed 1 mbbs. Infact their dish is installed top of my building only. Always around 800 to 900 kbbs. I called couple of times their customer care people, they didn't solve the issue. And they never bother to inform cutomer when they are going to solve. They will simply say ASAP.

    Worst service don't go for it. I disconnected and going for Airtel.

    Dumbest service provider I have ever seen till date. Firstly their sales representative said many misleading statements and convinced me to buy the connection then they took more than a week to install the connection. U won't believe but their software engineer took 8 hours to get the connection right in my laptop. And now its been two weeks that I am officially using the connection but their is no speed and I told them I want wifi but they installed lan saying we will install wifi next day. But I m still waiting for that next day. Thanks a lot to every tikona customer care executives and the software engineer and never forget the real hero the sales representative who name is sandeep singh who mislead me to buy the broadband connection of tikona. My reccomendation never even talk about tikona. Rating 0 out of 5 ...

    I live in mumbai and am using Tikona for around 5-6 months now. Its a good service provider with stable internet connection.
    I use it for office work and i need to stay connected in a VPN for hours. Tikona works well for me.
    The only issue i have noticed is it goes super slow for a day or two every month.
    I dont think Tikona is as bad as ppl mention it over here.

    When I wrote "free" - suddenly I remembered the free internet
    ISP -I had (thro normal Pac Bell Tel line) in US 10 years ago.
    It was advt supported.Closed it after few weeks & went with pac Bell ADsl BB
    .
    Tikona- I called for demo and the guys came with their mobile modem.( It looked like tata indicom Walky I think)
    My residence is in the city centre and busy main road. The speed was less than dial up in his net book. I told him to come back when they can show 1 mbps speed test in my pc !!

    I will say CDMA ( rel netconnect/tata photon -signal strength due to their frequencies) is generally ok inside the house.(compared to GSM-3G signal )

    But because CDMA guys have captured mass market in the last 2 years, they are giving max 0.5 -1 mbps only (they say up to 3.6 mbps) due to the huge no of connections they have. They are charging average rs 1000-1200 for 10 Gb for average 0.5 to 1 mbps speed (if you are lucky)mobile Internet.

    if you notice all corporate connections are Reliance Net connect (paid by office to work at home thro company provided Notebook)
    My sister and wife have company paid -Rel Net connect + note book !!
    That is a good example of reliance CDMA net connect penetration in the Corporate market.
    3G is just scratching surface.

    Tikona wifi best mimo 4G technology in India , 549 unlimited plan, no hidden cost ,no modem , no phone line ,no compare any networks plane is very clear, I accept approved it is absolutely actual nice no botheration casework is aswell actual nice 49 rs even alone in tikona .

    Last month I had an issue with connectivity and their support guys told that it is due to cut in cable. They told they would charge some 300Rs for its replacement. I insisted that it is just 2 month old and there could be problem while installation.Demanded a free replacement for which they didn't agree.Dissatisfied with their response I got rid of my connection.

    BTW this is the only BB who hide the FUP policies on their site some where inside a pop up.

    The first 2 months i have taken the connection it worked well for me. After 2 months my speed suddenly dipped to 400 kbps. My plan is 1 Mbps. I have called them several times and nothing worked till now. Finally i have given a request for disconnection. Till now no one is bothered to pick the hardware they have installed EVEN AFTER several reminders. Tikona Sucks Big Time.

    I had cancelled the connection in one week of startup and its 6 months and they have not paid me back. Further they are still sending me bills. After cancellation I have a reference number, but their billing department does not reflect it. What a mess of IT system they have.

    Speed is slow, Wireless is hopeless.
    I would recommend people of Mumbai to better go with MTNL, its cheaper and reliable.

    Go to nearest magistrate court. If you just stand there- a bunch "no work Notary kind lawyers" will approach you .(mostly opearting out of van or a table in the court ground premises)
    keep your answer prepared with relevant date of instalation/invoice no+ date of cancellation/ref no etc.
    he will dictate to the steno typist sitting next to him and will prepare a "vakil notice" in his letter head and will give you. ( rs 100-200 cost for you).
    Send it by registered post. You will not hear from Tikona any more

    Refer to the next poster getting bill after 6 months even. That is what is going to happen to you too.

    Take their equipment and go to their office and make a scene and throw it in their face.

    Surely they will not count your oral request for dis connection and send person to collect equipment.( only to collect cheque for new connection !

    But they never acknowledged "collecting back their equipment" and sent a bill for imaginary Broad Band services for one more year!!

    I went thro my lawyer freind to deal with them. They did not return my deposit .Just stopped bothering me.

    Hi All,
    I have been using Tikona for 4 months now.
    My plan is 2 Mbps and 15GB limit.

    They suck big time. I am waiting for any other service provider to come in my area and I will switch.

    1. Download speed is always in range of 10KBps to 70KBps (mostly in range of 20-30 KBps).
    2. Customer care is stupid
    3. No resolution from customer care even after multiple complaints and every time my complaint is set to "resolved" without reason or anyone contacting me.
    4. There response time is too low.

    I would say, if you have opportunity move out. I will switch to airtel very soon.

    Default Feel Very Bad about you guys!

    I really met many of my friends using Tikona and their reviews were just exactly like you describe!!

    I learned their system and discovered that nanostation system was somewhat better as compared to other services they provided.

    Roamed a lot to know where exactly their so called "Access Point" Lies
    I found it by learning where my friends Nano Station actually faced!

    And discovered that their so called "Access Point" was a signal tower just like they setup from a sim card co.(Idea, Airtel, Reliance, and blah blah blah)

    And voila!!

    It was a tower just about some 200-300 meters away from my home's terrace (I could directly see the tower from my terrace).

    And then I ordered a connection even after scoldings from ma friends
    And My guess was right I get the promised Speed without a hitch and my ping is below 15 ms Anytime

    I am now rocking with FMC599 plan In which I get 2 Mbps speed for first 4 GB's and regular 256 Kbps speed

    And remember they said maximum 2 PC connections simultaneously allowed So I asked a friend to believe me and got ready
    Hence we both pay half the amount (330/- Rs. Only) Sharing the same connection


    I really feel bad for you guys

    I hope even you find the tower near you and do the same thing I did!

    I noticed that many of you are not aware the difference between
    Kbps and KBps

    Notice the small and the big "B"

    If they say small "B"

    It mean the given value divided by 8 will be the actual speed on your PC/Laptop.

    That mean I get 260 K"B"ps while ma 2 M"b"ps plan is activated
    and regularly 32 K"B"ps while ma 256 k"b"ps plan is activated

    Don't get fooled by the ISP plans and their adverts.

    Hello,
    I have used tikona for about 4 months. Trust me, im now regretting for that. It's the worst service i've ever seen. The BSNL department ispite of being a govt one, serves better than them. Apart from that, they ask you to pay them cheques by dropping at the atm cheque drop boxes. And when you do that, the next month in your bank statement you get the amount deducted and transferred to tikona, but the company claims that they havent recieved the cheques. For which they ask you to submit the bank account statement asking you the proof of the transaction.
    "Now are you a customer or a As**ole??" this is what comes into my mind. I've paid the amount and now they ask me to prove myself that i've done it to the right person. After a month they call me and tell that they have updated my bill. This is the thing that happened with me. I made a request for disconnecting their service, for which they acted after a month charging me with the bill of an additional month of usage. Its a pain in the A** with these people.
    Since then i've been using Beam. I don know if it's there in your local area. But its the killer plan among all the present ISP plans. I've been using it since 5 months, not a single call to the customer care since then. Worth spending 1000 bucks for a 10 MBPS connection. That is what i recommend for the people using tikona presently. Thanks for your patience to read this. I'l be a happy person if someone atleast reads and bothers about this.

    I Really feel bad as I said, I DONT RECOMMEND TIKONA but as I explained If you have the right nack to squeeze the speed out of it you will enjoy high speed at lower prices just find the access points near you and you'ill have no problem. Just find the acces point I said
    And ya am a real customer not the a**ole
    If you dont belive me why don't you try asking some experts.

    Customer wanted to go for disconnection as he had requested for plan change but that was not happening from long time due to order in progress. Mahesh convinced customer and changed his plan online. Customer was very happy with the online resolution.

    Tikona is a fraudulent company with untrained, ill-manned, uneducated and stupid employees.
    I made a grave mistake of purchasing a connection with them 2 years back and after using it for 2 months i had it disconnected because they have really bad network speed even if it is promised 1 mbps Google.com takes 2 min to load.
    Even 2 years after disconnected i still get calls from their billing desk saying that you have pending bills. WOW
    TIKONA RULES AND ALSO SUCKS DONKEY C***.

    I m using TIKONA 549 plan in lUCKNOW i.e 2Mbps upto 6GB then unlimited @ 256Kbps
    Presently getting spped of 225-270Kbps on IDM and 200Kbps on Torrents(depends on no of seeds)

    i am using tikona and it is improving day by day. before a year or so it was exactly as said in previous comments but if you live near tikona's ap or tower, i suggest you should give it a shot.

    in indore they install new connection after 1 hour from your phone call and in an hour or two you are running tikona internet connection, it's little crazy, right ?

    Tikona has their own speedtest site speedtest.tikona.in which also gives good result. The only check is that You should have a tikona access point on your building or a nearby building for good signal. Ensure that all the lights on the modem are constant GREEN. especially the aerial and thumbs up LEDs.

    It has been more than 45 days since giving Tikona rs 1100 for new connection.Neither I have got money nor the connection so far. and nobody is there to take care of customer grievances

    I applied for Tikona Broadband connection on June, 2 2012 by paying cash Rs. 2000 and got it installed on June 7 , 2012.

    Before i applied for a connection, one marketing executive came to my home (Anil, sales executive ID 9000021348).
    He promised me three things:

    1. That I will get a WI-Fi router on rental basis for Rs. 75 per month rental.

    2. That Installation security Rs. 500 is refundable.

    3. That i will get constant speed (512 kbps) the entire day (No Fair Usage policy and no server down time).

    Also customer care people confirmed the above things.

    Response after connection

    1. After installation i am not able to browse internet on phone because he didn't provide me Wi-Fi Router. On being asked, he replied that our policy has been changed. When i asked him that why didn’t you tell me at the time of giving connection, then he agreed to give me Wi-Fi router .but he said that, at this time we don't have WI-FI router in stock.
    After some days when I again asked him for Wi-Fi router, he completely refused me. When i said that i will make a complaint against you, he replied,” I don’t bother”.
    At the time of paying Rs 2000, i clearly told him that mostly i have to use internet in my mobile device, which is not possible without Wi-Fi Router.

    2. After some when asked for disconnection, customer care told me that installation charges are non refundable.

    3. Apart from that when i have to use internet using Ethernet cable (mostly in the night time 9-10 pm) internet never works. On being made a complaint to the customer care, they sent an executive to fix the problem but He told me that in the night time, when server is down, internet will not work.

    After few days (on june 24, 2012) internet speed permanently got reduced to 256kbps. On being asked, the technical customer care replied that there is a fare usage policy after some data usage.

    But before getting connection, i asked from customer care several times if there is some fair usage policy. They replied that this plan is unlimited plan with no fair usage policy.(i have a call recording also)




    Here i am thinking that i have been cheated everywhere.

    You charged me Rs. 2000 for nothing in return. I have a cluster of wires, nothing more than that.

    I have used tikona for almost 2 years but have faced many problems and the network they are providing is not better, very poor and completely unsecure in terms of connectivity. You will never get the perfect speed according to your plan. I am 100% dissatisfied with tikona connectivity. I had 2 accounts of tikona and now I have requested to close both of them. i have faced lots of problem with their services which no one can afford such as if you have any problem with your connectivity and when you will call to the customer care then they will say that they will need 48 hours to fix the problem. This is just waste of time because meanwhile we can't do any activity over internet. And not surety that tikona engineer will come at your home or premises in 48hours and will fix your problem. Sometimes we need to call again customer care for the same problem and again you will have been said from that it will take next 48hours. This is just ridiculous service. So we do need to wait for 48+48 hours and still we can’t aspect for any problem resolution. I was using tikona broadband for my company so always have to keep external dongle for connectivity. As I remember now i was needed to call tikona care 5 to 6 times in just 30 days. Due to this all problems i have also lose my some of clients and business because when i had a meeting with client tikona was never working at premises. As I remembered i had only attended only few meetings in successful otherwise rest of them I was always been disconnected with tikona internet. And now I switched with another provider and then after i have never faced any problem or disconnection with internet.
    Why have I used this my valuable time to write this review because I don't want that you will also face any problem such as i have faced with tikona. So I prefer never go with tikona and their billing system & department & also their executives are useless. You will never expect the solution of your problem. I have already given the disconnection request in the first week of this month for my account but still I haven't received any resolution and they keep generating my monthly bills. I have called them and wasted my valuable time for 5 to 6 times and need to explain whole story again every with their executive and they never will have your record of your last conversation or note. Their executives do not have email access which is completely nonsensical and that's why we never get resolution instantly. They don't have right information regarding your problem and sometimes i felt that their executive has been on service without any kind of knowledge about their system and completely lack of training. So just think that how can they resolve your problem?

    If you have any more question then keep posting on this thread and surely will spend few minutes to look into it and will definitely help you out.
