Tikona Review &Throttling internet traffic on ISP's

Hi,My name is Aditya.I am from Mumbai – and I am currently using Tikona Wi-Bro.They have improved since the time they have started in mumbai. However they seem to throttle Internet connection speed for torrentz, majority of my downloads are from the Utorrents and the speeds that I get are pathetic on Tikona

In the past few months,I have used Reliance,MTNL and now tikona.I was very happy with Reliance, however had to change due to the cost.MTNL used to suck at torrentz too.I tried various things like Port forwarding,Changing settings on the modem- however their Customer service again is “SUPER CRAP”.In the first week itself I had a downtime of 3 days which is totally unacceptable. The one good thing about the Reliance was altough there was some downtime but I remember they giving me credits on the bill without having to ask the same.Customer service standards are more less same with all these companies providing broadband but in my experience Reliance was better.

Reliance was terrific on Torrentz.but the other ISP’s Tikona and MTNL are throttling P2P traffic with some kind of thing that I am not aware.I have tried researching the same on the internet however there is much lesser info available on Indian ISP’s,Abroad they have been ISP’s sued for this kind of behavior.

If anyone has any suggestions,On how to improve speeds on torrents which are tried and tested and simple to understand,Please do let me know.
I would also like to rate ISP’s on a scale of 1-10 –

    Reliance Broadnet (Wi-max) – 9 /10
    MTNL broadband – 5/10
    Tikona – 3/10

Please let me know your experience with these and other broadbands

As per present information available, you cannot access settings of the modem/router provided by TIKONA. No changes possible.
see other threads in tnis forum.

    confirm
whether you use LANPORT or wireless mode.
