Did you check up the tariff plans offered in their website.
    Tikona Digital Networks

Check all tariff plans. for correct details. restrictions on D/L speed etc.

It's good but since this morning my torrent speed is like 10-20 kbps but my upload speed is more than 20 kbps, i have no idea what's wrong with it.

I like the UL899 plan and I am going for it.
    I have some FAQs
    1. Do these guys provide a static ip address?
    2. How much maximum speed will I get? Some what near to 75kB or below?
    3. Are all the ports open?
    4. I read in their terms and conditions that uploading is counted in the usage.
Even for UL plans. I need info

    Lightbulb tikona experience

hi!I have been using tikona wibro past 1 months and i m quite satisfied with them as they r offering good speed at cheaper rates than other broadband providers.I am having UL799 plan and i am getting around 70 kilobytes per second download speed in the utorrent.Well one thing to mention that opt for utorrent 1.8.4 version as this is giving me stable constant sped than the newer versions 2.0 and so on as they fluctuate around 30 kbps only...so enjoy tikona.

yes it is.it gives around 70 kbps download speed in utorrent version 1.8.4 but fluctuates in utorrent 2.0 versions.so go for tikona and utorrent 1.8.4 as i am also having UL799 plan and mentioned speed.

    First ask Customer Care
whether you can , use WIFI mode to use the laptop and phone. or will they set it up.
So far no user has reported wifi mode here.

    Dear Bronze member,
You can download only when Tikona service works. But that, from my personal experience happens rarely. And when you ask for assistance, some illiterate untrained person will come and waste your time. When you finally terminate your service, they will start making threatening calls to recover 'dues' for the service not provided. Beware !

    Very well said . . . .

These days ISPs have started capping torrent traffic & bandwidth. The Vuze wiki page has the complete list. Check it out.

the download speed is always consistent till now. there were no problems. it all depends on your router and antenna placement. If its kept in correct position, it will always give you consistent speeds. I get 1 Mbps all the time 24*7. I am on 1 Mbps Unlimited plan. And i download tons of movies. I did not have any problem till now. My upload speeds vary a bit. But my download speeds are always at 1 Mbps +

just 1 query. is it fully wireless? I mean they dont bring wire into the house. Since i live in hostel outside wires are not allowed so all use tata photon. So is tikona just like tata photon?

Also one more doubt... Can we connect directly using laptop to Tikona or do we need to install their modem..

Am in TN Coimbatore... All over TN is facing horrible power cuts... and I dont wanna get disconnected due to power failures..
