i can't open the gateway so how do i see SNR and attenution?

Tell me your maximum speed.............
Go to speedtest.net take result from Delhi and Chennai servers.

Or the best thing direct download a file from cnet server with a download accelerator.

113.193.225.245 ( Tikona Gateway) is shown.
Usually when you type this Address again in your browser, a window should appear for access to modem router.
try it.
Or
type ipconfig /all and check your modem IP.
I think I had already discussed this earlier. that Tikona users cannot access router settings to make any changes or view them.

When i download a file from server based download i get around 70-80 but when i use torrent i get 30-40.

i think they are employing bandwidth shaping

I had the same thing with Tikona, very low upload speeds and low speeds on Torrents. Plus no access to gateway so cannot see SNR and attenuation. Plus contention ratio is quite high so when other people start to leech the pings and bandwidth are severely affected.

i think no one should apply contention ratio to speeds less than 1mbps. besides there is no way for the customer to know how many pcs are contending for their infrastructure at a given time

Anyways I'm giving up on Tikona, the packet loss is just too much.

have you tried pingtest.net for evaluation of your connection.

Though it could be that number of users in your area are not too much for the connection to experience loss.

I've seen most of the friends experience the same issue with Tikona in Pune/Mumbai, so I'm judging solely on that.

I just took a ping test and here's the result.
