    Default Never Go For TIKONA Internet connection

    Hi guyz,am in networking side,recently shifted my house and bought tikona connection.
    Service is very poor,never came accross such poor service till now.
    have informed the cust care,but till now the problem is not fixed since March 1st.

    Default Remove Tikona Connection if don't want to suffer more

    Hi, I already suffered from this Tikona connection and their services. I took connection on 3rd march. 2010 and raised the disconnection request on 20th March 2010 . That customer care person told me that with 7 working days we will disconnect but when i saw my bill i was surprised that they put billing till 25th in between i complained them about the connection so many times but there support was too bad.

    They are saying our policy is to charge for these 7 working days also which is the time period for ur disconnection even i am not able to use internet service.

    So if u don't want to suffer more just ask them to remove the connection otherwise their technical people will come and during repair time they will give u higher band width and show u speed again after going them u will again put a complain and they will always take 2 days to come to solve the problem.

    Obviously you guys aren't smart enough.

    No company will give you a trial run of internet.

    So when you go for a new internet you use it for a month. Doesn't matter if it's garbage or works.

    Other fact...If you don't have this Tikona tower within your road then don't get it.

    Only an idiot would get it then if you don't have a tower & try to catch rays.

    lol....ohh my words come back to haunt me.

    I already paid these idiots 1 month ago + filled form etc.

    Their tower was under construction....but it's done....

    I've been calling their idiots in their call centre for the past week....

    They still haven't sent someone to install their garbage....

    ARGHH!

    I'll give them upto tomorrow.

    They don't show to hell with them...bring back my cablewallah! lol

    Hey guys after complaining lot of time,they changed my modem to nano but still the problem in ping gateway itself

    I finally got their connection.

    It's okay. Not bad. Speed doesn't go below 600 kbps which is my plan that's good.

    I'm getting speed of 2 Mbps for the first 400 MB I download. But it isn't constant 2 megs it's somewhere in between 1.3 Mbps - 1.8 Mbps fluctuation.

    Ping is little worry though coz as it's wireless.

    eg. If you first open a page i.e Youtube or watch a video it loads slow but you refresh it & it starts going fast.

    It's sort of more like a 3G GSM network than WiBro or WiMax as they advertise.

    That's that....I'm pretty satisfied that I didn't have to install any garbage software as I was told by the Sales representative.

    So their Team needs a bit work there's a lot of miscommunication in between them hence my connection was also delayed.

    But all's good now...Fingers Crossed!

    Dum dum...second thoughts....

    I face pathetic speeds in the day big time!

    This page itself takes 2 mins to load! yikes!!!

    I guess I'll give their CC a call & give them a yell...

    I don't expect much out of it though but let's try!

    worst service .
    I used 2 months .
    in 2 months it worked for only 18 days with low speed

    This thing just FLAT-OUT SUCKS!!!!

    Yes their customer support is good but that's about it. They don't have the bandwidth.

    Due to my personal sources Now don't ask me how I got this info.

    I believe they're getting their bandwidth from BSNL. Anyway no big deal I don't care.

    Fact is their speeds just suck big time. Abort the hell out of it. Period.

    TIKONA is getting its bandwidth from Reliance as a last mile and the billing is done to reliance and not BSNL which in turn purchases the bandwidth through BSNL. About the service.Tikona uses a low cost ACCES POINT manufactured in Shenzhen and each ACCES POINT does not even gives a real throughput of more than 18Mbps. Also a 30 storey tower requires one set of AP installed on top and other down in opposite direction since the cheap AP cannot even transmiit more than 50 metres.

    First of all it all depends on the wireless survey and its calculation like...

    Frequency
    TX power of the transmitter
    TX cable loss
    TX Antenna gain
    Distance
    Rcv Antenna gain
    Rcv cable loss
    Rcv sensitivity
    Fade margin

    Now the second is the survey

    Fresnel Zone Clearance And Antenna Height
    Atmospheric Refraction
    Clearing an obstruction

    so without above given solutions no one can plan the RF links so stop commenting with your basic knowledge and again go to your collage and start gathering the RF knowledge.

    really pathetic service i have been suffered with it since a week..I have taken 2 MBPS circuit break plan..up to 15 days it was lightning speed but afterward i got very poor speed.. i quarreled with them on phone so many time with harsh words To nodal officer I said to be ready for the such result what about they have not expected till date.....and finally today i got up to 2 MBPS.. but its still doubtfull to me ..let c how long they provide or brings back to the same track...

    But while i was trying to be in touch with Gujarat Nodal officer Sunil Patel.. he was not interested to talk to me..guys ..perhaps u will not believe but its true i made him around 50 to 60 call from 6 pm to 8.30 still he was not attending my call..each time he was passing call to any other person ...when i replied to those person using bad words after ward sunil patel has attened my call.....

    How disgusting....

    Hi All, I took this connection In March last week and it took more than a week for them to install the connection. For 1st 2-3 days it worked ok but never gave the committed speed. After 3 days Tikona shows its real picture and disconnected..after multiple followups so called 'engineers' (who has no idea about things and you can call them office boys or peon) visited my home but not able to resolve the problem...so called engineers (Boys) visited my home for next few weeks but couldn't do anything..they always called their seniors and the seniors always take on them that they know nothing..Completely unprofessional behavious...after many followups nothing happened so i decided to get it disconnected in the last month of April. I called their call centre and asked to disconnect my connection...The customer care executive accepted the request........for three months nothing happened...In august i recieved a call from tikona..that i have to pay 2100/-..when i informed that i already asked to disconnect then they said do you have the NOC for this..i am shocked....they have no idea/track of my call for disconnection and they said its my responsibility to take the NOC...I am going to consumer court..Please please please...don't take this connection ever and ever..if you have BSNL/Airtel available in your area the go for it...Airtel is a complete professional company and gived the best service....BSNL is also good a bit slow service when it get disconnected otherwise BSNL is also very good.....again don't go for Tikona..they are unprofessional....just imagine how much frustrate i am and writing same thing again and again......

    Iam frustated...
    Iam using Tikona Broad band 512kbps in GHANSOLI , Navi Mumbai.

    some time it will even take lots of time to open google page and still "page cannot be displayed".
    It will persist quite often.
    I never thought such bad experience I will have with tikona.

    Iam going to discontinue it tomorrow itself by calling their customer care.

    i have heard they harass you also for disconnection.
    Read the following in this forum only to better know how mean have they been.

    they will not disconnect you so easily and will charge you for the full month....pathetic.
