    Default Tikona Review from whitefield Bangalore

    Hi, I just bought the tikona connection. my location is BEML layout, whitefield, bangalore.

    I read all the reviews before i bought it, and let me confess, 99% of them were negative. but bsnl takes lot of time to give connection and airtel line is choked to max and i needed some internet connection with low initial investment, so i can then look for better option.
    So, till now status, is that they have put one nano station kinda device on my roof top n i am still waiting to receive the userid/pass.

    10th July: A guy(Krishna) came to my place to give me the initial information. Took documents n filled the form n told, me that someone will call me n come on 11th july to fit the stuff. Then nobody came on 11th and 12th.

    13th July: A guy(fahim) came, n fitted a nano station at roof top and said connectivity is 63% and gave this lan wire to connect to the power and to my laptop. The guy was nice to talk to and told me that tikona wifi sucks big time, u better buy a net gear from outside, it will be better idea. Then while connecting it to my laptop, he asked, if i received user id n password. Which i dint at that point of time, so he called customer care and asked me to be in contact to the marketing guy who took form n all. he started the net with his own userid n password, so i can use it in the night. The sales guy said, you will receive them tomorrow morning.

    14th July(09:05pm): I did not receive the userid/pass yet. I called the customer care/ sales rep/technical guy who fixed everything couple of times. Still nothing concrete.

    Will keep you updated on this. however, feel till now about all this is not good as everyone else said.

    19th July: Am still waiting for the USERID/PASSWORD.
    The guy who came n installed said, the guy who took documents will make sure you get it.
    The guy who collected documents said, "I am helpless sir, talk to this guy"
    This new guy is giving life long commitments, that it you will get sms today itself with user id n pass"

    So, experience till now is very bad. Am thinking of selling that nanostation in grey market and recover my money.

    20 July: still waiting for userid and password

    @above
    I looked for railwire, they said, they don't have it for my building.
    same with airtel, line chocked.

    Hi,

    I bought the tikona connection on 11/07/2010 and and have all things installed from 12/07/2010. However i did not receive the user id and password till now. I was promised that my internet will work from 12/07/2010 but till today, after 10 days, am still waiting for the user id and password.

    Person who sold me connection: Krishna(9742924485) gave all types of false promises initially that i will get connection credentials(userid/pass) in one hour/ one day/today....but yesterday he said, he is helpless and gave two new contacts to contact. one of them sanjay(9986848007) is not picking up the phone. and other person mustak(9538533444) said that i will get user id and password today, but i did not get. Now, everybody i know in tikona is not taking my calls.
    I also called customer care a week back and requested for user id and password, i was promised that, my query will be resolved with in a week. but till now i do not even got call back, my reference number from customer care is 1-629777710

    I hope someone will take some action and i will be able to connect to internet and do my official work at time. If tikona will send me the userid and password in one day. I need my money back.

    so, finally logged in, but speed is pathetic, hardly 100kbps(14KBps).......if it will not improve. i will make these tikona people chakona......

    Reliance Wimax is much better than pony tikona, have you inquired how many BTS tikona have? if BTS distance is more than 1.4km then you will not get promised speed.

    Finally....after endless downtime and speed no more then 10kbps(with 512kbps plan) and after waiting for airtel, i tried the BSNL EVDO, checked the demo first, n now bought the connection.
    Works like wonder, no downtime, easy to connect, lighting fast dialer, speed between 512kbps-1.5Mbps and of course its wireless n top of it, it works!!!

    On tikona, will write a mail today to disconnect their connection and never show their face again.

    Conclusion: Tikona is the worst connection ever existed on face of this earth!!
    Hopefully they will disconnect in time and will stop harassing me.

    Hi,
    i took the tikona broad band on 6th august i asked them to provide LAN + WIFI one sales executive came to my apartment and took the money and he told me that they are going to provide both and from 10th august the bill was generated but i got only LAN connection on 16th august and if i want to open the login page it will take more than 30 minutes..........

    i really got mad on that speed and i raised a ticket and i called several times to sales person he is not answering i have done so many things to solve this issue,but i cannot over come this issue so kindly dont take tikona the worst internet i never ever seen.

    yesterday i went to the tikona office there one person try to solve my problem but i m not ready to face this issue again so i disconnected the connection.

    Default Tikona-One of the worst internet services on earth

    I too tikona, just like many others as there was no much choice. These SOB's select places such a way that no big players are in.
    1. The billing starts even before you get the connection.
    2. The sales person promises yo something and you will get something.
    3. The speed sucks, you wont be able to browse properly.
    4. When you try to talk to the customer care, the english professors show their talent, only giggling out the 10 technical terms they know.
    5. You have to wait for 5-10 mins only to talk to some bloody fool executive.

    If everything works fine, one day all the tikona care employees will be begging on the streets......

    krishna, the sales bastard.. is a son of a gun.. after he promised all nonsense, wen i called him since my net wasnt workin as it shud, he stopped receiving the call...bloody son of a gun... tikona sucks.. i wanna get it disconnected an get a refund.. does annyone knws if its possible?? ppl who work in tikona also suck bigg time.. bloody loosers.. i hope govt bans tikona. Bastards

    You all guys saved me.

    I inquired about Airtel BB connection in area, but they dont have coverage and instead that representative suggested me to go with Tikona. i searched for reviews and to my horrifying....i would better stick to my high cost Tata wimax connection.

    i want to reduce my BB bill, i am paying 1160 per month for 500kbps unlimited (Tata indicom wimax).

    Any suggestions are welcome!!! i live in Shankarappa layout, Immadihalli Road, Whitefield.

    Tinkona the worst internet connection in this planet . I took a 2mbps plan however their connection speed never go more than 512 Kbps, atleast 3 days in a week internet is disconnected.After 1 month i have canceled this sucking connection, now waiting for airtel connection ( however airtel people's informed me there is no ports available for my area(whitefield , bangalore) so i need to wait ). Will wait another 1 week if airtel connection is not getting need to findout something else.

    Never ever go for Tinkona ... tinkona is the worst connect i ever used since last 10 years

    that's costly, why don't you try BSNL EVDO which costs only 750 with unlimited download

    Nutless monkeys could do a more efficient job of flinging faeces then this pitiful excuse of an ISP does in it's so called internet service.
    Do not opt for this. It is better to live without internet than be beholden to these astronomical oafs.

    MY EXPRIENCE with TIKONA BROADBAND

    I bought Tikona broadband service in Thyagarajanagar. While taking the connection, i have clearly mentioned that people at home aged and use internet through "wifi only", so you need to configure the same wifi router that I am currently using with BSNL. If you agree to the same give me connection or it is waste of time. He agreed saying we will configure it. He pulled in the wire and for the Username and Password....you will have to pay money and then only they will activate he said. I gave the money so that he could activate (My biggest mistake). They gave the UN and PW. If the broadband wire is directly connected to the computer, there is login page and it logs in and we can use the internet but the technician does not know how to configure the wifi modem and he says "the router is faulty" which had been working with BSNL until then. Okay fine i said. I then requested the technician that he bring a new router and "if" it works I will pay for it. The technician obliged and brought a new DLink router after a "MONTH". Which again upon configuring does not work. He said I am gonna take back this router and I am going to get it configured at my office and will return. THE PROBLEM WITH THESE GUYS IS THAT THEY DO NOT FOLLOWUP....THEY MAKE THE CUSTOMERS BEGGARS.....EVERYTIME YOU CALL THEM....THEY NOTE THE CUSTOMER'S NUMBER AND THEY DONT PICK UP...EVERYTIME YOU NEED TO CALL FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER AND THEN THEY PICKUP. It has been now a month and more. THE WORST PART is their Call Center...Customer Support. YOU WILL GET TO KNOW THE TRUE COLORS WHEN IT COMES TO DISPUTES/DISCONNECTION........They disconnect your call.....I try calling them everyday.....this is what happens.     Hi,

    I am from Bangalore, whitefield. Tikona is very worst service provider. We had very bad experience with them. They dont care about the customer. Every month their will be some issue coming up and you will get pissed off to call them asking for support. I have raised a request for disconnection on aug 2016, you will get surprised after knowing what happened next. I was getting call every week from different tikona person and they were like begging that please sir dont disconnect , we will do our best and all rubbish talk. The worst part is even though you dont want the connection , they will try to frustrate you so that you will get fed-up by their calls and continue the service.

    And their toll free number, I cant explain how worst is that. Once I raised the disconnection request, there was no response from them for 2 weeks. After that I tried to call their customer care, believe me I was waiting in call for around 40 min but an automatic voice message was saying" please wait, we will connect you soon".

    I request all the user to be careful , before taking tikona connection.
