Are there any tikona users from Thane on this forum? I'm planning to file a complaint against them in a consumer court. I wanted to know if there are others like me who are suffering from their horrible service.

Ok, so I have a FUL599 plan which is supposed to give 512 Kbps download speed. From 24th May onwards, Tikona's own speed test showed my speed as 110-150 kbps. Thinking this was due to the rains, I ignored it for a few days. Finally after the situation didn't improve I contacted the customer care to file my complaint. So, the customer care executive tells me to delete cookies, temporary files, prefetch, etc. and check the speed again. (As if we are computer illiterates). I told him I have done that already so he says he will send an engineer to my place at 12.30 PM. Next day, the engineer arrives at my place at 7 PM and what does he do? Deletes temporary files, cookies and checks speed again! The same result : 150 kbps. he leaves saying he will talk with the technical team and solve my problem. Next day they close my complaint without even notifying me or solving my problems. So, I emailed their nodal officer Vikas Bhosale who replied back saying technical team will contact me. For the next 2 weeks, I received 6-7 calls from their Advanced Technical Team and what do they tell me every single time? Delete your cookies, delete temporary files, etc. Is this what you call an Advanced Technical team? 2 days back I again emailed Vikas Bhosale regarding the pathetic responses I'm getting from his technical team following which I receive another call from the technical team. This time he again tells me to delete temp files, cookies and check speed. After telling him that I have tried this 100 times and there has been no improvement in the speed. So, he tells me there must be a virus in your computer and thats why you are getting slow speed and we cannot help you any further and after this he closed the complaint. Again without any proper resolution....

I tried using this connection on my other computer and even there the speed was 150 kbps. I have a separate Tata Indicom internet connection which was working as per given plan. Also, in between the Tikona engineer visited my place and entered his own details to check if the speed was right. To my shock, his account showed a speed of 2 Mbps on his 2 Mbps account.

It became clear to me that these guys are cheating us and putting blame on our computer or some other stupid problem. 21 days have passed and yet no resolution has been offered to my complaint. Also, the speed I'm getting is below the TRAI's minimum broadband speed of 256 kbps. I have taken screenshots of the speed, speed of the engineer's account, copies of the emails, recorded calls and I'm planning to take legal action against them. Its high time, we do something about these broadband operators who are there to exploit customers with their fake plans instead of posting our rants on forums.
