Tikona broadband internet connection - continuing billing & not responding to e mail

    Default Tikona broadband internet connection - continuing billing & not responding to e mail

    ID.no.1103874461.

    I had requested to terminate and discontinue this connection from September 21st vide complaint no.I-1961488941 dated 21st Sept 2011. They assured me that I will be billed only for the proportionate days.

    After some days again I checked up with customer care dept, and they replied that my request is under process. But even after 15 days when they did not take any action , I sent an email on October 5 and got acknowledgment regretting delay, and promising immediate action. I reminded on October 6 th also. There was no further response.

    But now I have received a full bill for full amount for full month( from Sept 15 th to October 14th). I immediately contacted customer care number given in the bill. I was surprised that they said my connection was still kept active. But I had not used it also after the request for disconnection. They directed me to contact billing dept.

    I am sorry to say that the customer dept respondents ( I talked to three of them in so many different calls in technical as well as in billing dept ) were not at all responsive. They were not giving the telephone number or email of any higher officials which I requested to take up for redressal.

    Latest I sent e mail to nodal officer, and appellate authority on Oct 31st . Still there is no response from any of them. It is this helpless state that I am writing to this forum.

    I think this forum may help enable some positive results.

    I also request how to proceed further in this regard?

Our billing team has gone through the details and as per there update ,account is terminated you will be receiving Bill on prorated basis, outstanding is Rs 939.40 the description is as follow,
    As you have raised disconnect request on 09/02/2011 but the usages is till 10/6/2011 hence this disconnection request will not be consider.
    The outstanding is calculated as follow,
    15 Sep to 14 Oct ----- Rs 536.98
    15 Oct to 09 Nov ----- Rs 403 (On prorate basis)

    Default Tikona-continuing billing after disconnectio request & wrong billing

    Dear Forum members / Tikona services,

    While I appreciate that at least now Tikona has taken effort to answer my problem, still it is very evident how careless and irresponsible they are.

    My request for disconnection is in September 21 st.(September twenty first) They did not disconnect and kept delaying. However now they themselves admit they have disconnected on 06th October.(October sixth). In the same answer they write that I am billed for period 15th Oct to Nov 9 th. (From fifteen October to Ninth November). How can it be so?

    When they themselves ( at last reluctantly admit) that the connection is terminated on 06 October 2011(Sixth October 2011), How can they bill me for period after 6th October?

    Dear Forum members , Even though I had requested disconnection as early as Sept 21 st., but still I am ready to pay till October 6th. As I had already paid my complete bill till 14th Sept, my billing is only from 15th Sep to 6th October.

    Now on a very simple calculation of base rate Rs 499 for one month,(which was my plan) the proportionate amount will be Rs 366 plus taxes thereon for period 15th Sept to 6th October.

    Hence dear forum members & Tikona services, I am prepared to pay the correct amount of Rs 366 plus taxes .

    I am ready to bear the burden of the wrong delay from the part of the company (though I requested in September twenty first they did not act till this forum letter.).


    I thank this forum for the services they are doing for the harassed public.

    I shall revert after seeing the response of Tikona.

    Default Tikona still not rectifying the wrong and goes on issuing continuous bills.

    The above matter is not settled by Tikona.

    Hence I am forced to come to the forum again . For convenience I have posted a new thread also today. I copy the same here.( except the quoted portions from this thread).

    Let me invite all your attention to my post on the same subject, post dated 4 th Nov 2011, Tikona's reply dt on same day, their further reply with bill dated 10th Nov 2011. (My rejoinder to this bill post , as saying it was wrong is still not responded by Tikona. In between someone came on phone and I aske them to send me the correct bill, for which they said yes, but still continue to bill wrongly and defying all normal norms. )


    From Tikona's reply to my previous posts it is quite self explanatory and self evident from their own reply that they were wrong. I had asked for a revised correct bill. But ignoring and defying that they have again sent an inflated unjustifiable bill to me. for this month also and accumulating the earlier amount also.

    The main problem is that they are not responding and not keeping any lines of communication available in this regard.

    They play a one sided game.

    I seek the forum readers to suggest the next suitable course to get my problem redressed at a still higher level in government or other statutory bodies. I pray better sense prevails for Tikona at least now.

    I am Jaideep Rao from Delhi.
    I am agree with all the complaints against TIKONA. I m using Tikona for nearly 6 months and I am not happy with my broadband speed, but plan charges are less that is why I am still using TIKONA. There are some problem with speed but I think this Tikona has more problem then other service provider. I called Toll free number 1-800-209-4276 to raised complaint, I came across one new options from Tikona i.e press 1 for technical support (I was accepting that this will not work) I followed the instruction to my surprise call was connected to Engineer, issue was resolved as there was some alignment issue, I was changing the position of CPE and the technical guy was guiding me that this is proper position as the device was catching maximum speed. Till know Net is working fine, hope this will continue. I am thankful for your assistance

    Default Very bad experience with TIKONA

    I had a Tikona internet connection connected 6 months back. This device used to give some netowrk problems most of the times.After 3 months I gave request to disconnect from their customer care as well as from Email.

    My service is currently suspended and still I have to pay the bill for RS 1469. Please help in this.
