Thread: Tikona with Nokia Siemens Wifi Router 1600

Tikona Sales Exec committed that my Nokia Siemens Wifi Router 1600 will work with Tikona and after installation it is not working on my laptop but working on my iphone4. on my laptop the wifi connected but internet not detected is coming. When i contacted CC they said i need to pay 1500 for this service and when i asked for disconnection and they come up with Rs.75 rental option now and will be activated in 3 days. but i contacted my sales executive and he had given me a number of tech who will make my wifi working and charge rs.200. any one know is there any stetings that i can do or any firmaware upgrade...please help.

Select "MER" instead of PPPoE or "bridged :"
Enable DHCP in LAN page.

Connect rj45 to LAN1. An d another rj45 to ethernet port of desktop/laptop.
Ensure you get connected to Internet.

If you can connect to Tikona with celIphone , presume you log in
with TikonaID/PW. confirm.

f your OS is Windows 7 confirm. Check application "connectify"

Borrow a stand-alone wifi router ( example Netgear wgr614V9)
and select Dynamic IP. connect to WAN port.
WIFI may work.

Yes, i login with Tikona ID/Pass on cellphone.

I am already have connectify installed on my laptop but i want my laptop will connect through wifi on Tikona.

Not available. Select "MER" and other values automatic dns ip etc.
Connect rj45 from Tikona to LAN1 . another rj45 from LAn2 to desktop./laptop ( Lan cable can be kept connected in Laptop. remove if wifi works )
confirm connected. to Internet.
Check wifi ssid in laptop ( as entered in WI fi router )

i have configured the router as MER and other settings as well. it starts working at once but when i again tried to connect my phone or my laptop now no wifi connection detected. Also when Wifi detected earleir "No internet connection" is coming out. please help....

Siemens Nokia 1600 wifi router used more as a switch.
You have to log as usual to Tikona,
(In laptop/browser Default Tikona Page ?)
If your laptop works in LAN mode Cellphone can work in WIFI mode.

Borrow a WIFI router (Select DynamicIP) and try.
Then try laptop in wifi mode to log in .
Identical setup i am using : WI5( Zylog ) Rj45 to Standalone wifi router Netgearwgr614v6 ( First floor). Once logged in one laptop other laptops ( including mine at a distance of about 60 feet in GF through another(SMC) wifi router) and access the Internet.


Try: enable MAC address filter:
enter Laptop and Phone MAC address.

now i have got linksys wrt54g router, please help me configuring the same, as i have selected WEP2Personal and now i am getting wifi signals on laptop but no internet access. i have connected the RJ45 Cable from Tikona directly to linksys wrt54g Internet Port.....Please help....
