Unhappy Win7 not getting IP from TIKONA DHCP either on ethernet or Wifi

    Hi,
I have got tikona braodband installed recently but facing a peculiar problem.
Tikona broadband is working on win XP laptop but not not on Win7 Laptop.
I tried two scenarios on both laptops.
    Win XP
connected RJ 45 LAN cable from Tikona adapter to Laptop - gets IP and works fine

Connected Tikona Adapter to Wifi router using Lan cable and enabled Wifi on XP, Connect to Wifi router gets TIKONA DHCP IP and workes fine.

    WIn7
connected RJ 45 LAN cable from Tikona adapter to Laptop - doesn't get TIKONA DHCP IP, keep getting identifying network.

Connected Tikona Adapter to Wifi router using Lan cable and enabled Wifi on WIN7, Connect to Wifi router but gets wifi DHCP IP not TIKONA DHCP IP.

Connect WIN7 to wifi router on Lan port by using lan cable, - gets connected to Wifi router on lan port on win7.

Please help how can I connect to Tikona on Win7?
    Regards,
    Vikrant

    Connect to Wifi router
    mention model/make/number.
Select No for ID PW select Dynamic IP.

download "connectify" and install in WinXP machine.
Laptop Xp will work as access point for laptop (OS windows 7)wifi mode.

One of the laptops should be connected to Tikona in Lan mode.
    and install connectify.
    Wifi router not needed.
    Feedback.

    Setup 1 :Tikona rj45==>> Binatone DTW845W LAN1
    LAN2 to laptop1 ( xp)
wifi~~~~ working.( with or without RJ45 to laptop 1 ?)
    2.
    in wifi mode no connections.
Check whether the same SSID appears in laptop 2(windows 7)

In set up1. Connect another rj45 from Lan 3 to LAPTOP 2
Internet accessed ? switch off laptop 1 (XP)
    wifi ssid seen ?
    Para two:

    Tikona adaptor : Give details.
Is it simply a box with input from Tikona mast ,and a
RJ45 port to connect the cable ?

prefer a stand alone wifi router.

    Binatone is ADSLmodem +wif router.
WE use it as a switch now.

Anyway upload screen shot of Internet page .
or mention the option selected DynamicIP or StaticIP or "Bridged"
    or PPPoE ?
Lan page: what dhcp range given ?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try them as stated and let you know the results.

Tikona adapter is UBIQUITI Carrier POE adapter with one cable going to mast and another is Lan cable to plug in to direct Laptop or wifi router.
DHCP Lan range is 198.168.1.2 - .3 just 2 ips

Presume you have no access to the the menu pages of Ubiquitti model.
    Confirm.
    setup 1:
Where the wifi router does not have WAN/Internet port : 3in1
In some models WAN page "MER" selected.
You can also try STATIC IP:
Ip address 192.168.1.1 ( your Binatone modem )
Subnet as given by Tikona. ( * from ipconfig /all)
Gateway: Ip address as given by Tikona. ( or Ubiquitti's )

(I am using with adsl modem beetel110TCI+ Beetel 450TCI adsl input out of order ) similar to Binatone.

2.Stand Alone wifi router ( with WAN port )

Similar setup ( NOT TIKONA) ( direct rj45 cable from ISP) i could log in wifi mode,in default browser page. ( Stand alone wifi router wgr614v 6 with WAN input is used ) Dynamic IP selected.

    Feedback please with details.
