    Default Tikona is DEAD company, thieves r operating it now!! ALL BEWARE!!

    Had a really bad experience and have learnt that Tikona is not using professional thieves and god knows what not these days to con people.

    Had a person posing as a salesperson from Tikona with legitimate ID. He said he can get the net installed in 3 days and took 1500 rupees from me whereas the original amount is 1600 approx which i said will be paid on day of installation. Withing minutes of his leaving I get a mail from TIKONA with all my details when I had not provided a single information to the salesperson/docs/photo/etc.

    After a week when nothing happened. I called up customer center only to find that the person has deposited only 1100 rupees and that my account was generated and that my account is undergoing some LAN issue. When I called that person ...he neither picks up or says he's reaching in 5 minutes for the past 1 week now.

    So the modus operandi now is as follows: Tikona uses con-men to take money from u and then enter ur details against some dummy bum account or an account that has been closed. All this w/o any formal form/docs/signature. And there after of course nobody will entertain u at the customer care no. or they will will say that the account is already active as per their records and that

    TIKONA IS NOT AN INTERNET PROVIDER, they are professional thieves and this is confirmed after my experience with them! Of course they don't have any service to offer at all...its just an empty -ponzi scheme company today!!

    Hi There,

    I am sorry for what happened to you. Have you reported this to the police? I think you have been better off if you had done the proper verification before handing over the money to the con man.

    For me it is plain case of cheating who impersonated Tikona. I have heard same cases relating to BSNL.

    Seems the Franchisee is genuine . At least Tikona has acknowledged
    Rs 1100 in your name !

    Airtel took three days to give me a connection. three different persons
    verified technical feasibility/ my particulars/ rationcard/ property tax receipts/ Voter's ID etc .
    I filled up the forms and paid by crossed A/C payee Cheque an advance .
    For cellphones written application is a must. with Photo.

    Can not understand how Tikona can give a Broadband connection , throwing to the winds all security aspects and you say, you have not signed any form/s papers.

    3. Send email to tikona.services explaining the situation. ( check old threads in Tikona forum )Include in email your mobile number also.
    Talking to CC may not help. Better settle the matter , else Tikona may
    start sending bills every month now!! ( for a non existing connection !)
    Experience of @ smaartpradeep @ sumuku may be different.

    Default Tikona might be the one behind all this. The same incident happened to me as well.

    I have applied for broadband connection from tikona some 4 months back. Their executive came to me the next day and asked for 1900 rs.As installation fee and security deposit. I gave him amount as cash and he provided me receipt for the same. Later tikona told me that since they don't have network in the area, connection would not be given and money would be returned in full. After 2 months they told me that cheque was sent to my address but since nobody was there it was returned to their headoffice located in okhla phase-3. I knew the cheque was not even sent because neither I got a call from the delivery boy and nor any of my neighbour informed me about his arrival. Then they called me to their address and provided me cheque of just rs. 1200. When I asked them about the difference they told me that this is the money that has been submited by sales executive to tikona. Balance is with sales executive and since he has left the job difference would not be provided to me. I just wanted to know is it possible that a sales personal has mentioned his ID in the receipt, given me receipt worth 1900 but deposited just 1200 with tikona. It is a fraud by tikona and I'am quite sure I'am not the only victim of this fraud. Please suggest me how can I proceed forward to take legal action against this fraud and get my 700 rs hard earned money back.

    Now after seeing this thread i believe that Tikona itself is responsible for all this. I dont believe that the same incident can happen to two people at gap of small time. There might be large number of victims facing this fraud by Tikona, there is one more reason for me to think like this, when I contacted Engineer from Tikona and told him that sales person is asking for 1900 deposit, he told me that amount is genuine and i have to submit this amount to get the connection installed. Tikona itself is behind all this fraud, they might be having some gundas or thieves who are given the role of sales person in areas where they don't have services and ask for money some 500 to 700 over the installation amount and then change the mobile number and get eloped. I feel very helpless that I can not take any action against this because for small amount like 700 police won't take any due action and Tikona will continue to cheat people like this. I beleive they might have earned lakhs or even crores while cheating people. I recommend people to stay away from Tikona at any part of India. They are cheaters, thieves and fraud.
