smartcam is the software for you...
you will need a router to make tc-ip socekt i/o between your cam and the pc at your place..
its open source btw
its not that easy.
i can do it. but main problem is the login process.
i am using belkin wifi router for it.
but i dont have any machine there (in my factory). so , how can i login to tikona via belkin router???
You cant use Tikona networks for IP camera, as this application needs port forwarding to be done in the rouer. Their network doesnt have this option, even if you opt for the router from Tikona. The fist thing you need to set up a network camera is a ADSL connection or any connection that can work with a router. Tikona doesnt support any router, other than their own. Even their router doesnt have the option of port forwarding.
I'm using Reliance which too needs login. This page gets displayed when I connect through my router. So, routers can login automatically. Check the settings, enable "Dynamic login". This should take you to the welcome page for Tikona to login with your credentials.
I used Tikona a long time back, and I remember they used to register the MAC ID of the PC's connected to its network, and they also mentioned in their plans how many PC's they support. I think you need to register the MAC ID of your router in their database to get this done.
So, presently how are you using your Router? Log in from your PC, and then connect the LAN back to the router??
