I installed Tikona Wibro in September 2013.
Connection was ok for starting 9 months, but after that all of a sudden there was “on and off” connectivity of internet and highly unstable connection.
I decided to call the customer care on 11 June regarding the issue and (I made a total of 38 calls in month of JUNE and 10 calls in JULY of which I've also attached a photo for proof). Initially they assured me that my issue will be resolved (that of highly unstable connection), but they failed to do so.
I called again and again so they finally assigned a technician to look into this issue. He came in June before 15th June and told me he was unable to find the cause of unstable connection and he was not even able to ping from my laptop to their sever.
But to my surprise I got a message from tikona stating that “your issue has been resolved from my side”. I called then to clear this and they said their technician reported no problem, so I again filed a complaint regarding the same problem as before. They were constantly fooling me that they will soon resolve the issue from their side. Finally on 15th June I gave up and asked for disconnection.
Their representative told me that either they will resolve the issue or will disconnect within the next 10 days which is tikona’s normal duration for disconnection. I kept calling them regarding the same complaint but neither my issue was resolved nor disconnection took place.
I stopped calling for some days ( from 20th June) thinking that my connection will be disconnected on 25th June as the issue was not resolved. I called on 26th to check and my connection was still on and without any shame they again told me that your connection is working fine. I then demanded for a technician visit again and it was given to me but after a lot of hassle.
Again the same guy came and told me the same thing and it was déjà vu all over. He told me that he will come again the next day and replace the modem. He came again but not on the following day, instead 3 days later and brought a used and old modem and tried replacing them but still no sign of connection revival was there. I was more shocked when I again got a message the same night as “your issue has been resolved”.
In spite of all of this they even sent me the bill for June-July. I again called them that why the connection is not disconnected as it was not working. They told me there is no request from my side for disconnection, I was shocked and angry.
I called them again and again that either resolve this or disconnect but as you can all guess now nothing happened. They even sent me the bill for next month i.e. July-August despite the request i made for disconnection and their failure to disconnect and resolve my issue.
After all this I gave up and stopped calling pathetic customer care (which is good for nothing) and switched to another company’s broadband network in mid August of which i had to again bear heavy installation charges.
In August I received many phone calls from tikona’s representatives regarding my bill payment and I told them that is it even fair to ask for payment against services which were not even provided. He said my connection was on and there was data exchange too against which I said that when your customer care rep said that my connection issue has been resolved, so in order to check the connectivity, I had to connect. But the connection was still unstable as admitted by their technician.
One day I get a call from Suraj (no. 9582970130,working in tikona’s technical department) who clearly said many times that “I’m sorry sir we made false promises regarding disconnection and your request was never forwarded”, “We gave wrong information to you regarding your connection and I admit that but I will resolve it now”. We said that we have already switched to another broadband network so we don’t want to resolve the complaint, rather just disconnect as early as possible and take away all your equipments.
Then in mid August their rep came and asked for payment due. He said “pay the outstanding amount and lodge a request for disconnection again”, but as I’ve already mentioned that I’ve filed the request for disconnection thrice so I refused to file another one.
Over and above this, they again issued another Bill for August – September. And on 10th of September I received a call from a government lawyer telling me that Tikona has sued me for 3400 rs due to non payment of bill. I’ve been asked to act fast or there will be severe legal consequences against me.
What kind of company is this, suing students for services which are not even provided, threatening again and again in the name of legal actions(severe).
would anyone of you ever consider purchasing a tikona connection?
