i don't particularly like this model, i like the latest accord better.
nice smooth ride though. but for our village roads ambassador
is best or a cadillac for the prestige.

The Camry comes at a hefy price tag of around Rs. 22 lakhs (ex. showroom). Add to that RTO, tax and insurance, the price touches nearly, 25L.

Honda vs. Toyota, Merc vs. BMW, Ferrari vs. Lamborghini, etc. These are classic wars.

My personal opinion: Honda makes sexier cars but Toyota are a shade better in terms of longetivity. For looks, compare:

    The latest Honda Accord

Impressive model but i doubt it will be popular in Indian roads. Quality of the road is not so good here so cant feel the pleasure of that car

Since the camry is completely imported, it attracts the full duty of 105% (or something like that).

Honda Accord is not completely imported but still the import content is high and hence it is cheaper.

As far as why so much tax, it is Indian Government's objective (right or wrong) that goods must be manufactured in India. Imported goods are a drain on Forex and the exports to imports trade balance is still in high favour to imports; hence imports must be
    discouraged.

p/s. You people may not know and may not have even heard of 255% customs duty, which I paid once.

Thats true..my dad had got a new Sony Trinitron in 1982...just before the Asian games. Even at that time the 19" TV had cost about 18,000/-

Now they allow you electronics items fit for use of two persons for a single adult. Anymore, will cast doubt!

I personally believe that this entire thing about Toyota building better cars than Honda is like saying that Windows is a better OS than the Mac/Linux. Not necessarily true.

There is an impression that Toyota makes longlasting cars. I disagree as someone who has driven Toyota, Honda, BMW, Audi. I think Honda is the BMW for the middle class.

Toyota is like apna maruti - sasta tikau cars. Not worth paying more than 7 lakhs for it. Oh wait! Toyota does not sell any car below that - ya, that's my recommendation dont buy Toyota. Anyways City 2008 model is better than Corolla by a long long margin and I am not even starting to talk about how Civic beats Corolla's big fat a$$ by a huge margin.
