Like in UK and USA and many other countries marriages are just a one day affair not so here in India it goes on for a week or so and there are so many things involved and it would be just impossible to have a wedding at a place where you dont know the locals. In Indian weddings we normally invite almost a thousand people as opposed to 50 or so in English weddings.. No guest pays for anything everything is paid for by the hosts and imagine how much would it cost for a modest 500 guest wedding at say Lasvegas or say Centeral park at Newyork... it wont be possible to get permissions for central park in the first place leave alone organising a wedding. I dont know if things are changing with youndsters but at my wedding we had 1000+ gusts turn up for the wedding and more then 1500 for the reception... And ask anyone and do let me know who are those people who would like to miss out on this once in a life time traditional wedding Indian weddings rock I have been to two such weddings where wedding was organised by the tour operator and they were not so happening (in my opinion) One was at Lasvegas and one at Centeral park at NYC.. and it also costs a lot for the guests to make it there. And also they dont allow shooting in the air after getting drunk in other countries Last edited by Admin; 10-08-08 at 03:43 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
