    Default Jaipur Holiday

If you go on a holiday in Jaipur, there are a large number of sites that you should visit. Here is a rundown of these wonderful tourist sites.

The first is Hawa Mahal which was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The Hawa Mahal was designed by Lal Chand Ustad, the design was to be identical to the form of the crown of Krishna, the Hindu deity.

The second site is Jaigarh Fort which is located at site that is 15 km away from Jaipur. It is one of the most spectacular forts in India and the thing that differentiates it from the rest is that all of its original facilities are still intact. Jaigarh Fort located on the top of a hill is connected to the Amber Fort located at the bottom through well-guarded passages. The two are talked of as a complex as seen together.

The there is the Nahargarh Fort located on the edge of the Aravalli Hills. It overlooks the Pink city of Jaipur. The view of the city as seen from the fort is actually breath taking. It was an important part of the defense ring it made with the Amber Fort and the Jaigarh Fort.

The last but not the least intriguing site is The Jantar Mantar. It is actually a building made of a collection of architectural astronomical instruments, first built by Maharaja Jai Singh II as a part pf his new capital of Jaipur. Built in the 7 years between 1727 and 1734 the Jantar Mantar is modeled after the Jantar Mantar built by him in Delhi.

All these places are of historical and archeological importance. A tour to all these sites is not to be missed while on a holiday in the city of Jaipur.

The best place I liked in Jaipur was a two night stay at the guest house inside Nahar garh fort They only have two rooms there so if you want to stay there you would need to book well in advance.... The city looks beautiful from there at night and there is a bar there as well and you can go out to have a walk in the evening with no one to disturb if you book both the rooms then you litrally have the whole of the fort to yourself at night Those rooms are not that great but I love that place.

That was the palace for some queen in old times and the view from the windows is a treat

I dont remember how much it was but I do remember it was not a lot as that guesthouse is run by RTDC ( Rajasthan tourism development cooperation) So it shouldnt be a lot.
