Default Going to Chennai!!
I will be going to Chennai tomorrow night i.e. on 23-01-09 and will arrive there at 5 am........ oh man so early , i will be landing at Chennai central but one of my friends said that its a railway station , man what the hell i thought i will be landing at Chennai mofusal (bus stand) can someone plz clear the confusion!! , the travel agent said its the same
help

Basically i am going to to Chidambaram, to meet a friend who is studying in Annamali univ. eager to see this univ. have heard a lot!

But just now my friend told me that there is a strike so does it means that the transport will suspended too?? and also can someone tell me that whether that i can board the bus directly from there or i have to go elsewhere???
help again

And yes btw if anyone of the IBB folks are residing there try to meet me!

Where you want to go ? which address ? in chennai two major station is present Chennai central & Chennai Egmore Ramesh,shadow can help you

If you come by train, then you will arrive at Chennai Central.
If you come by bus, then you will arrive at Chennai Mofusal Bus Stand (CMBT).
I don't think there's any strike. So how are you going to Chidambaram from Chennai...

I am coming by bus(tomorrow 10:30 PM will reach at 5 AM) so i will arrive at chennai Mofusal afterall but will confirm from that agent

I will go to Chidambaram by bus(probably) as i dont know abt the train, can i go by train? if yes how?

Chennai had two railway guages some time ago - BG and MG. Don't know if that is still the case.

All BG (Broad Guage) trains started and terminated at Chennai Central. The MG (Meter Guage) trains started from and terminated to Egmore station. Egmore is about 3-4 kms from Chennai Central station.

Egmore services trains going to South TN such as Villupuram, Madurai, etc.

Chennai Central services trains to all over India, arriving from Jammu / Delhi / Varanasi / Allahabad (via Nagpur), Hyderabad (via Wadi), Howrah, Mumbai VT (via Pune-Solapur-Wadi), Bangalore, Kerala / Mangalore (via Salem-Erode).

Finally i am back!! just reached at 4:45 AM at bangalore journey was awesome, travelling for hours and hours and hours.................xD, totally fu**ed up but somehow was able to bear the damage caused to my brain cells!!!!

Where the hell were you!! i tried your mob. number hell of a times but you didnt picked up a single call to be true i am pi**ed off from you

Sorry man,yesterday my cell was in the silent mode the whole day. I didn't notice that.I am really sorry for that.
