Thread: Sikkim is jewel in the crown of Indian

Sikkim is the one of the beautiful state in north-east India. Himalaya and its ultimate beauty are present in this amazing state. Although this states is full of natural beauty but still few spot’s are famous for tourist.

Pelling -Pelling is the one of the beautiful hill station in West Sikkim.View of Kanchanjangha is very clear from Pelling. Pelling is divided into three part like other hill station lower,middle and upper Pelling .Upper Pelling is most beautiful & lonely area.If you visit Pelling then I will recommend you to stay upper Pelling. Monastery is very near from upper Pelling and then visit side scene and must see Khecheopalri Lake, Khangchendzonga Waterfalls ,Rimbi waterfalls, Shinsore Bridge (not many area it mention).

Ravangla—Ravangla is a nice valley in south Sikkim not for its natural beauty also for beautiful flower. Rayong sunrise view point is another attraction of Ravangla.

Gangtok—Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim. It is a good city if you go Gangtok then the special attraction is Rumtek monastery(23 Km from Gangtok), Changu Lake(40KM) if possible then visit Indo-China border Nathula pass & ‘Baba Mandir’ at height of 14600 ft.

Yumthang & Lachung—It’s part of north Sikkim and 140 KM away from Gangtok.Probably most wonderful place of Sikkim is Yumuthang.

Tour guide –First come New Jalpaiguri(NJP) by train & flight anyway. Then by car go first Pelling 250 KM from NJP. Then visit the entire trip in that way Pelling------>Ravangla------>Gangtok------>Yumuthang/Lachung

i agree wid u rupu....sikkims like one of the best places i ve ever visited.....its soooo beautiful....i had visited gangtok & pelling about say 5 years back.....n the place jus made me smile....!!!

tsangu lake .....one of the best places i ve been....the only time to go there was april to july....n tht aslo is very risky.....!!! when i had gone....it was soo damn foggy n the driver cudnt even see 50 meters.....!!! but was a fun ride...!!!!

i remember looking at the icy peaks in may....from my hotel room @ 6:30 am in the morning n the sun rise was soo beautiful...!!!

rumtek monastry was fine as i wasnt much interested in it still we went as it was said it was one of the best monastries.....had been to almost about 6 monastry int ht trip.....the orchid garden musuem was jus sooo beautiful.....

I have also visited seven years ago i like Pelling very much for natural beauty
also Changu Lake (Tsongmo is local name) & Nathula is special for snow.

vent been to nathula......coz it was closed...!
