Default Some places to visit on a Goa holiday

Goa is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India. Most newly married couples and groups of friends visit Goa at different times of the year. If you are also planning to spend your holiday in Goa, then do something else also, besides swimming in the oceran and lazing around on the beach. Here are some places which you should visit when on a holiday in Goa.

While in Goa do visit the Bom Jesus Basilica. It holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, who was regarded by most Catholics as the patron saint of Goa. Once in every twelve years, the Saint’s body is taken down for veneration and is kept in display for public viewing. The last time it was done in the year 2004.

You should visit the Velhas Conquistas regions. The region is famous for its Goa-Portuguese style architecture. There are a large number of forts in Goa. They are named as Chapora, Corjuem, Tiracol, Gaspar Dias, Aguada, and Cabo de Rama.

Also visit the various mansions in Goa that are constructed in the Indo-Portuguese style of architecture. However do not expect them in their full glory as most of them stand in a pretty much dilapidated condition.

Also visit the Fontainhas in Panaji that showcases the life, culture and architecture of Goa. You should also go to Mangueshi Temple, it has strong influences of the Portuguese era. There were other such temples but all of them were demolished and then reconstructed in the indigenous Indian style.

All these places might not be some thing patronized by the large population of tourists but they surely have their own charm. A visit to these places will surely be rewarding and you will not regret visiting them, so do plan on giving some time to these places.

In south Goa various famous beach present like Agonda,Palolem,Patnam,Verca,Majorda & Colva. I generally stay in colva near Madgaon.Because south Goa is comparatively lonely then North Goa and I prefer lonely place but still north Goa has very famous beaches(we all know the names are) and cities i like most dona paulo also like Mapusa & Candolim for very good city in north Goa.

these are clam beaches and these beaches are good for rest and just to observe movement of sea.

There are several types of beaches like
    aggressive
    calm
    rocky
    sand
    shell

next time when you go to goa, just try and explore the whole coast
