Thread: Mussoorie or Nainital

I want to go on holiday someone where nice and calm and a hill station, the two places which i have never been to are Mussoorie and Nainital. Although Mussoorie is much closer to where i live, but i have also heard a lot about Nainital!

Im kind of stuck on which one to choose so please guide me to where i should go, Im planning my trip on Sunday evening, so let me before then!

You know what you cannot read my suggestions

instead of nainital, go further up for four hours to Kaushani

Either are fine but you should try to go off season to enjoy peace and quiet.

As mali2sc's post is not visible for me so I can say only to you visit Nanital & Kaushani both as Panchabhut said to you visit kaushani.Yes kaushani is really nice place i also like that very much.Now I want to add Jim corbett park also in your list.

I say go to mussorie and from there you can go to ghaunati which is another hill station, its off season for mussorie
as rupu said Jim Corbett is something which you can add in your list and its nice and very peaceful place to be.

visiting Nainital is stupid if you have visited once. Its season always(sorry j4k but i live in this State) Nainital is heaven for the first timers. But a pocket sucker for the twicers of thricers.kausani(not kaushani)is good for just one day. There you should stay for not more than two days in Suman resorts(expensive though but it pays). One who is healthly fit should go to Patal Bhuvneswar district Pithoragarh(around 8hour journey from Nainital). Its a cave discovered by our Mighty ShriSHRI Adi Sankaracharya. It is a cave tunnel. Must to see. RANIKHET too is better than anything else. You should Book at Holmfarm. All hotels etc i describe here are 4k+ for one day.

One can visit jageshwar. Which is a temple 35kms from Almora. A very old 1100 temple. With the Deodars standing attention all the way to the temple. And you can see Shiv-PARVATI deodars and morpankhi trees which are one at stem but twins in upper part. Contact Pandit Girish Bhatt for a peaceful mind soothing and prosperity bringing Puja.

One can also see Mayawati Ashram (its not at all related to our own Sushri Bhehenji:lol its one of the chief branches of Ram-KRISHNA mission of Calcutta. Its in pithogarh. Great valley and great flowerland to view.
I forgot to mention somethin. Pls visit Kausani and there is Gandhi Ashram above the main road. Its a good place for Gandhi lovers and all patriots. And a place for great Himalayan view. Father of the Nation was jailed there for about 4months. I think he like this jail:lol:

ummmm i would tooo say go to mussorie...n stay a bit away from de city area.... Mussorie off late has been really commercialised.

same is with Nainital.... yes Kausani is a good option...u can go ahead from Nainital to Khali Estate...which is one quiet n de place ny person would love .....! der's only one resort out der...which u can check from nivaalink.com

Corbett Park....i m not sure .....its usually hot & therez lots of tourists all thru de year ....
