Unheard?probably because its unluckily unnoticed by most.Khandala,Maharashtra state,India.One of the famous hill stations in Southern India for weekends.It is in the sahayadri mountains range.Western Maharashtra.100 kms from Mumbai and 70 kms from Pune.One perfect place for best weekend in the laps of natural and unspoiled scenery.The best time to visit is just after rainy seasons end and there is lush green atmosphere all around.You are midway on th hill named khandala and on all the four sides there are hills in which you will see nothing but greenery and greenery.

Many bollywood(Indian cinema) stars used to choose these quite place after their hefty work.Its now again emerging and these stars are buying bungalows and farmhouses here.The reason is simple that it is a natural wonder which you rarely see nowadays so accessible by public and still maintained what it was in past.It is one the best place to go on sundays by long scenic drive and enjoy your day at this hill.I say if you have enough finance,then you can buy a lovely farmhouse here nd visit it when you want to be at some quite place where nothing else but beauty of nature is there.

Lonavala is 5 km from Khandala and is at height of 625 metres.These hills are really beautiful place.Even in summers you will feel cool.Winters are cold.Rains are heavy so not advisable to go in this hills at that time but after few days of rainy season,you can go.
