Rep Power: 1  |  Hanging gardens of babylon Wonder I had been to middle east for quite some time and had thought of visiting on of the seven wonders, Hanging gardens of babylon, situated 50 kms of east of Baghdad(Iraq). Different historians have different view of who built it and is said that it is built by King Nebuchadnezzar of that place. The architecture of it is amazing as built by King to please his queen. It is about 75 km of length getting thick as much as 80 feet and huge height of 320 feet. From down it seems its touching or merging the sky. Inside there are small statue and idols made of mostly gold. The garden too was built by the king itself. This palace is beside or banks of river and water is supplied from it through that river to gardens. The garden is built of layered clay at each level of building. Trees and plants are planted everywhere in the palace building. So it was interesting for me to get in there and look out. |

Rep Power: 10 | Traveller, what exactly did you see? I thought the Hanging Gardens of Babylon was not in existence anymore. I have read that out of the seven wonders of the world the Great Pyramid of Giza is the only one surviving. Did you see just the ruins? Got any pictures? -F Quote:

Rep Power: 1 | I am a time traveler and I have seen those gardens when they were just built and I have been visiting those gardens ever since and seen them fade away with time. I completely forgot that there will not be anyone here who would have seen it. Please let me know if you want any details about any of the wonders as I can go back thousands of years and bring back whatever information you want. I once tried to transport a cctv system to set it up at a palace 3000 years back but it did not work, I am not that much of a techie you see. |

Rep Power: 1 | WoW at last some one who knows one of my friends No I am not the Doc but I am sure if I ask him doc wont mind paying a visit here.I would have got some pictures of those gardens for you guys but while time traveling it is not possible to take along any gadgets and when I go back thousands of years there are no cameras there so the best I can do is bring you information and that I did. |
