Thread: Birth certificate Bangalore

Hi

Does anyone here know how long it will take to obtain birth certificate for our newborn ,

Our son was born at Cradle Jayanagar

We are planning to apply on this coming monday , is it possible to obtain the certificate in a day or two as we want to apply for his passport ASAP.

Would be very very grateful to any who can provide info

But to answer your query, a birth certificate can be obtained in two days. At least that is what the SLA is in Pune under Tatkal scheme.

But i have posted under "travel" and we need the birth certificate ASAP for passport .

Nowadays. Birth certificates are also available on line from Chennai Corportation.
If the child was born in a Hospital, if you give the details, to the Corportation
office, they may help.
But don't say it is for Passport purposes !
