I'm not sure how many have tried the option of online check in for air travel. Most of the domestic airlines have this option provided the passenger just have a cabin luggage. Check in luggage is not allowed. This is the rule.
I have tried this option with both Indigo and Spice jet. I actually got the boarding pass online and I took the print out and proceeded to the check in counter, but to my amusement they really dont care of that e-boarding pass. At the security check they demand the tiny boarding pass received during check in luggage. Anyway my intention was the window seat, and with this I always had the window, but I had the cabin luggage only. Now m questions are -
1. The advantage is seat selection, and mostly I carry cabin luggage. What if I take check in luggage as well?
Will they deny boarding just because I checked in online, and I have check in luggage?!
2. The real advantage is the lesser time required, you dont have to stand in queue, but with the attitide of security staff demanding the "boarding pass" issued from the counter, is this really useful ?
How many have tried this? Faced any difficulty with check in luggage?
