You can always visit hill stations, which are suitable for weekend breaks and give you total relaxation. Some of the common and popular hill stations include Masoorie, Kulu Manali amongst many others.

Ever considered Andaman Nicobar? You will see some extremely good unpoilt beaches there and the crowd that goes there is better then the lot you will find at Goa in my opinion.

Its not even that costly to get there .. You can get a flight from either Calcutta or Chennai to Port blair and then by boat to where ever you want to go.

This is not the best time to go there due to rains but otherwise its a very good holiday destination be it your honeymoon or just a yearly holiday kind of thing

Please do check if everything is ok after that Sunami struck coz I havent been there after the sunami which did cause a lot of destruction out there so it would be better to get in touch with some one who has been there recently coz those beautifull beaches I am talking about might have transformed into something else after the sunami

y not try kochi, it has beatiful backwaters and the coconut water will bring out the best in you.
the onam season starts soon, so the shoppin will be cheap too.
if you do go there dont forget to try out the payasams there.

Then you should visit Matheran about 100 km from Mumabi and 80 km from Pune.

Best thing about Matheran? No cars or vehicles of any kind allowed inside the township. All cars have to be parked at the big parking area near the (narrow guage) railway station. A NG train runs from Neral to Matheran.

Another place to visit is Ranthambore its a good place to visit, its calm, no traffic no noise, good wild life place to visit and a place where you can just relax. The best time to go would be November, as during the nights you can light a fire and enjoy dinners in the garden.

I can vouch Preeti's suggestion. We had our team offiste there in last December. It is a great place.Lots of natural beauty, wild life.

We did camp fire and had great time. The memorable part was the chilly night. It was too cold in Decmber.I can not forget the chill of the night.Worst part was that after all the fire camp and dance etc at night one has to get up before 5 in the morning to be in the park.Otherwise you can miss the tiger as their movement is greater in mornings.

After visiting the Park if you have time you can visit the historical Ganeash temple which is about 20 Km away.
