Well I haven't tasted Dosa's in a lot of places and never tasted them in South India where they originate from, but a local dosa wala who comes int he afternoon near my home, makes the most mouthwatering and delicious dosa ever!
He has the normal coconut chutney, but along with that he has this spicy tomato chutney too, which makes the dish even better. The sambhar is perfect, its not bland, full of taste and spices and is of the right consistency!
(Ive recently been waiting for him to come, but he hasnt come for the past 3 days, it always happens when you want something you never get it! Fingers crossed hope he comes today!)
Talk of south-indian dishes... I must mention Sagar-Ratna chain in New-Delhi... I visited there when I was in delhi... Dosas were good at that time.. With many chutneys... Howz it now? Anyone went there recently?

I have seen the Sagar Ratna restaurants many times, but never been there myself!
I know its popular and there are a few chains outside of Delhi too! May give it a try sometime, but sometimes I don't feel too confident of going to new restaurants which i haven't been too, in case the food doesn't turn out to be good, especially when your really hungry!
Yep i agree wid madz....sagar ratna has really nice south indian food....though i really dont enjoy it much.....but i ve had it in delhi...n it was nice....!!!!
there are a couple of nice restaurants in mumbai thouhg.....amzing food....
like renaissance.....the coffee shop has got this amazing range of buffet brunch, china garden is one place i dont miss out eva if i go to mumbai, olive has this amazing set up...n the ambience is really nicely set up...no doubts da food is mouth watering too, plus pizzeria nearby to church gate is also one of my fav......!!!!
i enjyed food @ mocha in mumbai n ahmedabad as well along wid sheesha's but sadly thy r being closed down......!
there r couple of nice restaurants......in ahmedabad! but one of my favourites is shocolatery......yummmmmmmy deserts n coffees......! plus the food there is really nice....from those french creoles to crepes, italian.....continental stuff.....!!!!!
