    Default Highway On My Plate

Highway On My Plate is a programme shown on NDTV GoodTimes! The programme is presented by Rocky and Mayur who are two very talented presenters, who make the show worth watching and make the show stand out from the rest!
The two presenters go on their road trip adventures throughout and across India, and go to the different places to eat, whether its a local bread maker, tea stalls, restaurants, dhaba's and practically any place where you will find food.
Each time you will watch the show you will find it different, as Rocky and Mayur will be in a new place, with new places to eat and new information! And the places they visit are places where anyone can go, its not targeted at only the very rich!

What makes the show enjoyable is the humor from both the presenters and their down to earth personalities. Both Rocky and Mayur show you how to enjoy food and take you to places where you may not think that the food is good!
At the end of each meal or food tasting session they have, they give their own report card, from which you can judge what the food and place where you ate it is like! You also get a little summery of at the end of each meal about the place name, they food eaten there by the presenters and the cost of each dish!

I have been watching this programme for quite a while now, and also keep a note of the names of places where they go, so that whenever I pass by a destination where Rocky and Mayur have been I can also try out the food there!

I totally love the show and will give it a 10 out of 10! :

The show is on NDTV Good Times on Tuesday's at 10pm

    Who knows better than me..

Sometimes back Me and my friend were having "Naan and Daal" near Karna Lake in Karnal..when these guys came...

We later came to know about the programme..Later we actually saw ourself on TV...amazing na...

If I am correct NDTV has another programme called 'Chupa Rustam' which is similar to the one mentioned here. In our Malayalam channels there are lots of programmes like that.
We are actually used to such incidents.

There is also Good Foodie [CNN-IBN]
    and
    Top Chef [Travel and living]

Both of them good shows the latter is def worth watching for a foodie cause it s top class imo

sorry Top Chef was on Axn ... confused it with another program i was watching in Travel and Living

How can you co-relate this one with Chuppa Rustam, Chuppa Rustam got entirely different plot based on playing pranks on public

P.S: I don't think Chuppa Rustam is on NDTV, i think its on STAR

I find Nigelle very comical .... she s too self conscious before the camera

Top Chef is a reality program where some of the best cooks in US get together for a cooking show down ...

They go thru many tests 'Elimination round' style ... one is eliminated each round ... based on vote from judges

They have to cook under various conditions with a time constraint

Like a Party for kindergarten Children or a Bash thrown by a VIP .....and the guests will rate the cooks

They also get specified ingredients only ........ And it gets tougher each round

I remember seeing a squid as one of the items in a round

Yeh Foodie is a good program, and the presenter is quite good too and he goes to some very good places too. I think this programme is more professional! Whereas Highway on my Plate is more the fun and less professional!

I have only seen glimpses of Top Chef, but not really watched a full show, will watch it next time its on, let me know when it is on!

There are so many shows related to food, its becomes difficult to watch all of them, but i do try to balance them out.

Highway on my Plate is a must, but it only makes it fun when its to do with a place which is near Delhi and not too far across India.

Zaika is another program which comes on a news channel, i think it is NDTV News!

Fully Fed up looks good, but the presenter is not so good, which makes the show a bit dull to watch!

battered and deep fried squid tastes exactly like KFC chicken

I love Nigella's shows, i think they are too good. Its things which can easily be made at home, and its not just grand food, its even the simplest food which she makes in such a good way.

It good to her different techniques and styles of cooking!

I missed Highway on My Plate yesterday, and apparently they were going to show the best places to eat in the whole of India, anyone watched it?

Im quite confused about Highway on my plate now, as I think they are showing repeated shows which come on everyday at 8pm. For for those who haven't watched it can start by watching it at 8pm every evening, and i guarantee you wont be bored, as the presenters are just too awesome, they crack you up like anything

Snap Admin, i love it too! Join the club!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope they have a new series of shows coming up, as cant wait to see them!
