I do not watch any of the reality shows (Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma, Voice of India, Big Boss, etc) except for MTV Hero Honda “Roadies”. I have not missed a single episode of it till now. I really like Roadies. I just stay glued to the TV set when Roadies is on AIR…..

I am sure everyone must have seen this adventure reality show. It’s shown on the MTV every Saturday @ 7 pm. The repeat telecast is shown everyday (not sure about the timings). Till now five (5) seasons are over. Currently the audition (GD & interview) is going on for the coming season “Roadies – Hell Down Under”. Last season the Roadies went International (India – Malaysia – Thailand).

The winner gets a Hero Honda Karizma Bike & a cash amount. The cash amount is earned by completing certain given tasks in the reality show. The top 3/5 contestants also get a Hero Honda Karizma Bike. The winner of the last season was Ashutosh Kaushik. He also recently won the Big Boss 2nd season.

The contestants for this show are selected after an audition (Group Discussion (GD) & interview). I really like the interview (audition) where people get screwed like anything. Not all people get screwed. People who try to behave like studs & who try to show that they know everything get screwed like anything. In the interview you just got be yourself. You got be honest. You cannot fool Raghu in the interview.

Raghuram (Known as Raghu)……He is the brain behind this reality show. He is the senior supervising producer of MTV India. He is the one who also conducts the interview. He also appears as a guest in this reality show. Last season the interview was conducted by Raghu & Nikhil Chinapa. It’s very difficult to manage Raghu & this season the contestants have to manage 2-2 Raghu’s. It’s Raghu & Rajiv, who are conducting the interview this season. Both are twins (Raghu & Rajiv) . My God, it’s very hard to find who Raghu is & who Rajiv is. They both look same.

The interview is very simple. You just got to market yourself. You got be honest. Even if you don’t impress Raghu, if he (Raghu) feels that’s you make an interesting character in the show. You are selected for the show.

Once the contestants are selected, they all set on a journey to the places (as per the schedule) on a Karizma Bike. It’s some what like an adventure. Once they reach the place, they get a letter informing about them the task. The task may be relating about winning cash or it may be winning the immunity. The contestants are divided in to teams for performing the tasks. Sometimes there are also individual tasks. At the end of every episode one contestant(s) gets voted out by the other contestants & they set for their next destination. As the journey goes the number of contestants go on decreasing.

Task relating to winning of cash: The cash amount won by completing the task gets accumulated & the winner gets that entire amount.

Task relating to winning of immunity: Contestant who ever wins this task gets the immunity & cannot be voted out for that particular week.

It’s not all about completing the task. If the contestants perform well in all the given tasks then he has the highest probability of being voted out as the show progresses. Last season winner Ashutosh Kaushik, I don’t remember any task which he completed. He hardly completely any task. The show is not all about completing the task; it’s also about making relationship with other contestants.

For the current season, the audition are over in Ahmedabad (4 contestants were selected) & Kolkatta (3 contestants were selected). Coming week the audition is in Bengaluru (Bangalore).

I don't watch TV much.. But, if I had been... I wud love to watch MTv Roadies... I watched couple episodes of all the seasons... Liked them too... Especially the 1st season... Last season was also good... A participant Shambhavi visited my college too... I never liked her on screen... But she was looking really gorgeous when I saw her face-to-face! :tt1:

BTW, I predicted to my friends that Ashutosh Kaushik will win the show when it was in initial stages...

Even i wanted him to win.ashu was amazing in d audition.his act of monkey was too good.Even Raghu liked it. Raghu was saying that monkeys shud get training 4m him(ashu).

Well yeah i do watch Roadies....last 2 seasons but vent watched all da episodes....kinda missed some of it!!!!

its fun watching it.....this year the auditions happened in my town....n there were 2-3 ppl i kno selected for da interview in front of raghu n his bro......damn......n the way they told things...when thy came out.....!!! thy screwed da hell out for like 2 hours......

but thy surely felt it was an experience......

i mostly enjoy the audition drama , the contestants are all antique piece

last week a girl named polovi das from kolkata was the star, she is the most dumb - wanna be kind of girl i hav ever seen

i swear man......dumbest female i ve come accross....!!!!!! i mean look at wht she is from her voice to thoughts to clothes.....freaking weirdoo....i really wonder wht made raghu to select her...of all the ppl....?

Her voice,her maskara(eyes).. May be Raghu thought she might be intersting in d show.I liked SAMRAT 4m Ahmdb,he will b d guy to be watchd.

yep....even the other guy from ahmedabad.....bhanu pratap shud b fun to watch as well.....!!!

Is there any limit for the number of contestants...Im not sure about it.

yes obviously theres a limit......but its definately more than 13 contestants this year.....

Ok.they have already selectd 7 4m 2 cities.Still audition in b'lore, mumbai,Delhi is there.
Y is that none of d realty shows come 4 audition 2 Chennai?

Thanks 4 the compliment.If they come 2 chennai 4 audition,I would be the definite winner.

com on jee, if you are so crazyy then go to the auditions in other cities , why wait for them to come to you ??

I was just kidding.Iam not into any of these shows.I dont have any talent. I just feel bad 4 my city.There is good amount of talent here.But none of these shows come 4 audition.Y?.

Today its audition in Bengaluru (Bangalore)...Two of my friends went for the audition but did not clear the GD. Last year a guy from Bangalore made it to top 2. It was Nihal...Lets see how many roadie get selected from Bengaluru this time..

well yea but he didnt get selected in banglore auditions...i suppose he got selected in mumbai auditions....

Oh...ok....He's from Bangalore (Correct me if i am wrong).
He did ok in the last season...especially the task with Vikranth (cutting the wooden thing using a axe)... apart from that....nothing...

I really supported for Prabjot......She had all the passion....but unfortunately she lost....

i liked VIK n Simran.......Delhites....thy were pretty good on tasks....!!!! i kinda liked varun.....looks really cute.....wink wink....!!!!

When Vik got the chance to come back in the show. He had a contest with Nihal.He spoke tooo much before the task (contest). But he performed very badly in that task (cutting wood with axe)...
Simran was good in the latter half of the show,she did pretty well in all the tasks...

yea i agree...but tht task needed physical strength more ......which nihal had....!!!! if u compare the tasks performed by nihal n VIK.....vik was better in all of it....than this one task....!!!!! prolly nihal's luck took him all da way.....!!!!
