Charmed is a popular American television series. The popular series ran for the eight seasons. It was broadcasted on the Warner Brothers Television Network which is now defunct.
Charmed was produced by Aaron Spelling. The series is about three sisters who are the most powerful good witches in the world. These three sisters are known throughout the supernatural community as "The Charmed Ones". However for the rest of the people they are known as the Halliwells.
Each of the three sisters possesses a set of unique magical powers that can grow and evolve over the entire course of their lives. The Charmed “three sisters” or the Charmed Ones stay together in a house. They call this house the manor and they use their supernatural abilities to battle the various warlocks and demons along with other evil forces in the area of San Francisco, California.
The show was the longest lasting show of its generation. It was one of the most successful supernatural-themed shows like, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Roswell and Angel.
Charmed was especially noted for mixing up multiple genres, that is horror and fantasy to comedy and even soap. It also had the highest rated debut for the WB Television Network in its time. About 7.70 million viewers tuned in for the series premiere in 1998.
The theme song for Charmed, titled "How Soon Is Now?" It is a cover version that was performed by Love Spit Love. The same version was previously used in the film The Craft with similar themes. The original version of the song was written and recorded by The Smiths.
The series ended its original run on the 21st May of the year,2006 in the United States of America. The Charmed series finale was able to pull in a season high total of 4.49 million viewers.
