Is the govt trying to control what we see?

Its good to be in a free country like India, but quite shocking to see the word "rape" is censored! What I dont understand is in most of the hindi films the "gaalis" are not censored, where as when it comes to a sitcom every single word is censored. Take the instance of "Sex and the city".

some of the stupid censored words I came across

1-love
2-kiss
3-butt
but the following words are not
1-teri maa ki
2-saale
3-harami
and many more,

are these censorship buddhaas just dumb or orthodox or both

Take the example of "saas bhi kabhi bahu thi"
so may sons, so may husbands, but only one bahu-- and that is not censored

Imraan hashmi can make love on screen but if somebody says sex then they censor it

Anybody who has watched big boss ending episode, "Imraan hashmi"-- this guys say in open public broadcast , "kisiko bhi nahin chhodaa , sabko kiss kar chukaa hoon, 100 to kar diaa", and that is not censored, but when Mrs Jaya bachhan says that ," hum UP waale hain" ,then it is a problem.

That girl who posted something on facebook that was supposed to be a general comment, became an issue but eve-teasing is not an issue. Sometimes it feels like we are not independent, we are still slaves of this country.

I just tried to search the above said words but to be honest I didn't find any censor issues, can you please confirm which ISP you are using and are you using any Free DNS or something.

we are talking about TV shows, what ISP and search are you talking about smoothy ?
may be you have misread something

When words are censored on the sitcoms, its actually ruins all the fun in watching them. Like nevinjohn mentioned hindi film swear words are not censored but the American sitcoms are, where as they are not even rude or offensive.
