Uninor is a newly launched mobile service provider in India and it holds a pan India UAS license which allows it to offer its telecommunication services to 22 circles in India, providing GSM services.
Uninor is owned 67% by a Norwegian telecom company Telenor and the rest 32% is owned by the Indian company Unitech Group.

Uninor is now the eighth mobile provider nationwide.

Uninor headquarters will be outside of Delhi in Gurgaon and will also have hub head offices in the following cities and covering circles:

- Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh Circle
- Kolkata - Kolkata, West Bengal & Orissa Circle

New telco Unitech Wireless has been renamed Uninor following the collaboration between Norwegian telecommunications giant Telenor and realty firm Unitech Ltd. Telenor’s subsidiaries also have different brands - Digi in Malaysia, dtac in Thailand, Grameenphone in Bangladesh, Promonte in Montenegro.

Do they have any customers? I am yet to come across anyone I know who has this connection. No advertising or may be I havent come across any ads.

one of my friends is working in uninor and he says the network will definitely improve, as they are planning to invest in network enhancement.

i have a uninor connection and i think the network is just amazing. havnt had a single call drop or disturbance till now.. no wonder they are crossing 12 lakh mark
