Default Uninor GPRS Services For Prepaid Users

Uninor has now launched GPRS services, which are available for their prepaid subscribers. Currently Uninor have their mobile services in nine states which include Orissa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, UP, Bihar, Uttaranchal and Jharkand. Till 6th May 2010, Uninor are offering their prepaid customers free GPRS services.

But obviously after the free launch service there will be charges, which will be 10 paisa for every 10kb. The GPRS service can be used by two different products which are:

Myconnect 9, for which the cost is Rs9 and this has a validation of up to 3 days and provides free browsing of upto 60MB.

Myconnect 90, which is priced at Rs90 and gives a validation of up to 30 days with free browsing of up to 3GB.

Like mentioned before the free browsing will only be valid until the stated data usage on the specific products, but thereafter there will be charges of 10p per 10kb. Uninor MMS charges will be Rs5 per MMS.
The wap portal for Uninor is very simple and only has 6 icons on its homepage, so nothing too complicated!

According to the Executive Vice President of Uninor, they want to launch many more ideas sooner and give their subscribers the best services from their mobile phone service provider.

Although one thing still remains is the availability of their services all over India.

    If you have nokia phone,..

goto settings>configurations>set up new configuration account(in last option in config.)> click web a/c>enter name&access point value as uninor>save and activate this setting for default.

similarly make a accesspoint for mobile apps.. in config.>>set up new access point from options >enter value uninor. click save, make default and in configuration choose personal configurations inside web account and accesspoint

    Sorry Avijit

their is no trick which can increase speed of your internet. And even if some tricks are their to increase the speed of internet, those are not for the mobile dial up, because its so slow, that it becomes more slower with new applied tricks..

but you can do one thing.. when browsing handheld, nothing great could be done..
but when you are browsing using your mobile phone as a modem for your pc, you can take a long usb cable or use bluetooth on your pc and mobile and try to keep your phone somewhere it may recieve higher speeds, like for ex. tie it with a lock strap and tie it on door locks, or keep it on the roof of your cpu, keep it outside doors(when doors are opened).. window bars and building structures dont let mobile signals penetrate into your mobile, so the speeds are less..

so these were some important and useful things that i have for now to share, keeping the phone on top of something really works..

it is a one time download link, as i think.. so once you bookmarked it, it wont appear again..

    or

maybe the website activates the link for say after some seconds or 1 minute or so, but opera mini is phone browser, so it maynot be able to stream the page as it should do in a web browser of computer..

    Uninor Gprs Rs 90/30 days/6 GB -
    I was not aware of 200 mb/day restriction.Just checked the Uninor site.True.
Even the My Internet Rs 24/ 7 days /1.4 GB plan has 200 MB per day restriction. I have used Uninor monthly plan Gprs before .But was not aware.
If the Uninor signal is good, then Uninor's Plans are better than Airtel and Vodafone's Rs 98-1 GB high way robbery!

    1.
use uninor default settings, go to m.vuclip.com from your inbuilt browser click a video . . In Next page look after stream option there would be hi-res try res check if video plays or not. . . Tata docomo charges balance for streaming through vuclip . . Check it for uninor or other provider. .

2.download bolt browser from boltbrowser.com. . Install it . . . Open it and go to settings . . Under settings go to video setup wizard it is a 2 step wizard, follow instructions there . . . After completing wizard u can watch videos of youtube and metacafe.com
use the same internet settings that u use for opera mini

Here in Kolkata I am getting 300-400Kbps speed on with Uninor, that is why I am using uninor now. It is giving good data usage of 6GB for a month no doubt, but the daily data limit is not done. Now when you get good speed, you download more, and when you download more you use more data.
So I wish they extend this daily limit.

Default anybody using uninor gprs in up west

Hello guys, I need to know if anybody using uninor gprs in upwest. Docomo is giving around 140 kbps in 2g. If uninor is giving more speed then it is good to use that . It is relatively new service provider so there are less customers so less traffic.

So , guys plz reply who are using it in upwest.
