This is the minimum system requirements required for playing NFS Pro Street.

OS: Windows XP/Vista
CPU: 2.8 GHz or higher (Windows Vista requires 3.0 GHz)
RAM: 512 MB RAM or higher (Windows Vista requires 1 GB RAM)
HDD: 8.1 GB free disk space or more
Graphics: 128 MB or higher (Pixel Shader 2.0, AGP and PCIe only)
DirectX: Version 9.0c

If your computer configuration is below this. You can still play by tweaking some options in the Graphics settings or setting them to medium.

Do you have any application running in the background that is using a lot of memory (eg: firewall). If so try running the game after disabling them.
Also test the game compatibility using this website: Can You RUN It?

@Player
Do this ..... Go to
Start-->Run -->(type) dxdiag -->(Click) ok

Directx Diagnostic Tool Window Should Open

Under System Information Heading
(It ll show lots of information)

-->See what processor speed it shows [ in Ghz ]
-->See what version of Directx version it shows [post it here exactly]

Next click on The Display Tab
Under Device
-->Post here the Chip Type and approx total memory

If you post all these info we can tell you what exactly is the prob.

I am telling you this cause in your previous post the info you provided about your conf is incomplete [ and some of it is also wrong]

There is neither a 50Hz processor nor a 5 Ghz processor

And def there is no DirectxC

Only if you post this info correctly we can diagnose problems if any ......

u wrote ur card is FX Series. that means geforce 5 series.(5500, 5700)
Am i correct ?????
Geforce 5 FX series is very old and though it supports pixel/vertex shader 2(2.1), it is not capable of running Pro Street smoothly.

Since u have 1GB ram and 50Hz processor.....(
???????????????????????????????????????????:confus ed:) heh heh
anyway, i suggest u upgrade to at least 7600GT if u want to play that game.

by the way, Pro Street is the worst car racing game ever. Play Carbon or Most wanted if u havent played them already.
