So GTA 4 had been finally released for PC
And i got some news regarding that

-->PC version has higher graphics compared to Console Version

-->Some ATi cards have incompatibility issues with GTA 4 .....

-->Vista version has some bugs

-->It has received rave reviews from most critic sites

-->Windows Live needs to be there to save games in single player [weird]


I have nt played it yet . So people who play it pls post your reviews .

Hmmm once again ATi users are at a disadvantage i guess.

Vista itself has so many bugs talk about introducing more.

Windows Live & GTA what the heck does it mean ? I wonder how $$$ M$ paid for this

Is it true that this game runs slow even on present higher end cards coz the developers meant the game to be used on future gen cards or watever.

I was about to download the game today. But seeing those Minimum System Requirements. there's a change in my plan. In short, my system dont satisfy those requirement.

The in game radio and other tv shows are very realistic

It does not run well in my PC even in minimum settings. I have 2GB ram,2.66GHz Dual core, 8600GT 512MB.

hmmm, and have u found any alternate to using xp service pack 3, or do u use vista ???

I tried it in XP service pack 3. Vista is installed though.

Btw Medium and Low settings gives me almost same performance i.e BAD.

thats undestandable,
since my card is 7600gt and ram only 1gb. i think i m headed to the same fate as u too.

but the only prob is, I dnt want to install svc pack3 on my XP svcpak2. do u know about any solution to this issue ????

I dont know any work arounds for that.

I have SP3 and facing no probs with it.

Btw the graphics is not half as good as Crysis. But I think its because of large maps. It requires a better processor. It recommended a Quad Core Processor in the Readme file.

hmmm, but sp3 may not run that well in my case. it is known to be a random killer.

i must find a work around.

Have decided to wait for a while [few months] before playing ... Dont want to ruin the experience on a config thats < Recommended one

Agreed but I'm not upgrading anytime soon that too just for one game. I'll wait until DX11 comes out and i7 prices falls. Then probably I'll reinstall the game and play.
